i recently got a prescription from my gyno for gardasil, but my mom doesn't think it's too safe. I've heard more pro's than cons, about it, but i'm still not sure if it's totally safe. Also, i've heard that gyno's prescribe it and tell you to go to your doctor to get it injected (as mine did) because they don't want to administer it for insurance reasons... is this true?

I have a question. If a man makes/forces a woman to have oral sex with him, is that considered as rape? What does the law say about that?

I'm 16, 5'2 and 100 pounds, and since I haven't had a period in almost 5 months, my doctor wants to put me on birth control to regulate my periods. I'm scared to death that it will make me gain weight, because I am basically a perfectionist and want to keep myself exactly how I am. Are there ways to stop from gaining weight while on the pill? is it just a myth?

I'm 16 and virgin, but I haven't had a period in almost 5 months. My doctor said it is common, but I'm still worried. Is it just because I'm young that I've skipped so many months? I'm 5'2 and around 100 pounds so I'm not underweight or anything, but I do workout quite a bit. My doctor said it would regulate eventually, but how long will I have to wait? I feel so unhealthy.

I have been on birth control pills for almost 5 years now. After years of bloating, moodiness, headaches, nights sweats, etc. I am really thinking about getting off them. I will use a different form of birth control, no more pills or even injections. Is it bad to be on them so long or even longer? I feel like the past year has been the worst with bloating and moodiness. Does this increase after long use of the pill? Can long use of BCP's cause future health problems?

My doctor suggested low or medium profile implants for me because I don't want to go too large and I want them as natural as possible, but I've heard that the low profile are rarely used. I have a small to medium frame....Anyone here had breast augmentation? If so, what did you go with and were you happy with the results?

Has anyone had this and suffered depression? I had one injection last November, have lightly-bled almost daily since, and today, 10 months after taking it, I finally get a period.

I also went through about 6 months of a really tough time, outside influences were a large factor, but I'm starting to question whether the pill injection was the cause for the depression I went through.

I didn't recognise myself, have always been a very upbeat person, and I'm feeling normal again now...

Has anyone else had problems with this pill injection?

A friend suggested it was the injection that had caused the depression so I've read up and weight gain, period problems, infertility and depression are all seemingly common...

I think it's a dangerous drug and am considering campaining against it, I feel it's responsible for me losing a few months of my life.

I'm 18 years old, and I have never been to the gynecologist. My parents never even really talked to me about sex, much less going to the gynecologist. I'm just scared, and wondering what they'll do. Especially since I tense up if anything is about to enter my vagina.
