YESS!! and heart attacks, and blood clots. I took Yasmin and got a deep vein thrombosis (blood clot in my deep veins) that ran from my knee through my pelvic region. I was hospitalized twice over it and still have it. In october they're going to do an ultrasound to see how much it's changed since July.

There are dangers with any medication- not just birth control. Weigh the risks vs. the advantages. Also, be sure to report any symptoms to your doctor if you continue taking it even if you think it's nothing. At first I had a cramping in my leg that I ignored and thought was nothing because my leg wasn't swollen or red. Turns out it was my blood clot forming (DVT's don't always swell, turn red, or even have any symptoms for that matter).

Just be careful! Every medication can cause dangerous side effects.

Yes, they can cause blood clots, strokes, etc.

If you get BC make sure you read the pamphlets that come with the contraceptive. They'll tell you all the side affects that could happen.

Yes it does, and blood clots too. I took care of a woman 2 yrs ago who had a stroke from the patch. She couldn't talk or walk.
