I had a hemerrhoidectomy in 2004. It was done outpatient, in a hospital and I went home that day. I've been too embarassed to mention this to anyone, but the truth is in the morning I usually develop such urgency that I can barely make it to the bathroom. The feeling comes so quick, and unfortunately there have been times when I wasn't fast enough and soiled my shorts. Stools are either solid or very very soft or watery, depending on what I've eaten (and drank) the previous day. What could have happened after the surgery that I can't 'hold it' any more? Could the MD have severed a nerve or some muscle? This was never the case with me, prior to the surgery.

I went to Red Lobster on Tuesday nite last week. I ate a lobster and snow crab legs. Wednesday nite I started to feel hot and I had a fever of 101. Thursday nite I had a fever of 103.5. I was taking Cold/flue relief medicine and aspirin but nothing seems to help. The lowest my fever went down was 99 in the past five days. It is usually around a 100 throughout the day. I have no other symptoms and I feel fine in the mornings. Any idea if I should go see a doctor or what kind of medicine I should try? Or is it going to go away by itself? I dont feel sick and I dont feel like I have a fever at all.

We're putting up a fence, the board themselves are not pressure treated, only the 4x4 posts. One side of the fence (four posts) is within 10 feet of our well head. I cannot fond any information on whether or not that proximity poses a health risk or not.

Does anyone know?

Isn't it strange how diabetics get excemption from paying prescription costs yet asthmatics dont?? They are both potentially life-threatening illnesses so how is this fair?? I'm asthmatic and my partner is diabetic and we have the same ammount of prescriptions. He gets his free but I have to pay. Do we need to petition the government for a change??

My Daughter's bday is coming up. A small gorup of 4 yr old will be in attendance. I know at least one boy is allergic to milk and eggs. I really do not want to bake a dairy free cake myself. It will be a hot Sat early 10-12. I think i may be o.k not doing cake. What can I do that the kids will be just as excited for? Sorbet..Jello with gummy fish? ( under the sea / mermaid theme fyi)Novelty popscicles. But what else? Something else? I've seem a recipe for a watermelon cake usuing real watermelon and cool whip. Is cool whip dairy/egg free? I know I can just do a reg . cake. Most Moms with kids with allergies bring their own treat. Since it will be only about 6 I'd prefer for everyone to be included. Someone will have a great idea I can feel it!!!

i'd like to stop my runny nose the old-fashioned way; not the "go-to-clinic-and-you're-done" method. it's not exactly mucus. it's more like water coming out of your nose - but it's QUITE sticky. and btw it's white. anybody can help?

I want to become a bone marrow donor and I have a few questions. I have already researched about it, so I would prefer personal experience.
1] how long does it take for them to take out the marrow?
2] what do the scars on your hips look like?
3] how do you feel after the procedure? Like, what is the pain equivalent to?

If you have any tips, or want to share any information with me, feel free to do so. :]

Lately I've been feeling really funny and today has been the worst. I'm at work at the moment and my tummy feels like it does when you go over a big bump (losing your stomach sensation) and I feel very light headed and dizzy when it happens. I also keep on sweating profusely when it happens also. Anyone got any ideas about what might be going on?

I have been very ill, it may be food poisoning, but I'm not sure. I have googled it, but I can't find an explanation. My symptoms don't exactly match up with anything. I really don't mean to disgust anyone, but I am in so much pain right now and at the moment it is 3 in the morning. The last time that this happened to me, I threw up around 17 times within five hours and became very dehydrated. But every time I would try to drink water, even the tinniest sip, it would come right back up. Symptoms include severe stomach pains, vomiting, rapid heart beat, dry mouth, shaking/muscle spasms, diarrhea, nausea, hot/cold flashes. I'm so tired and I feel drained, but every time I lie down or sit, I feel terrible and I have to run to the restroom. This has happened to me a couple of times and I just can't take it anymore. It always begins late at night and continues on into the next day.
Has anyone ever had problems similar to this? And if so what was wrong with you?
