My Daughter's bday is coming up. A small gorup of 4 yr old will be in attendance. I know at least one boy is allergic to milk and eggs. I really do not want to bake a dairy free cake myself. It will be a hot Sat early 10-12. I think i may be o.k not doing cake. What can I do that the kids will be just as excited for? Sorbet..Jello with gummy fish? ( under the sea / mermaid theme fyi)Novelty popscicles. But what else? Something else? I've seem a recipe for a watermelon cake usuing real watermelon and cool whip. Is cool whip dairy/egg free? I know I can just do a reg . cake. Most Moms with kids with allergies bring their own treat. Since it will be only about 6 I'd prefer for everyone to be included. Someone will have a great idea I can feel it!!!

I think Novelty popsicles is the best idea. Children get just as excited for popsicles as they do for ice cream. The Jello and gummy fish are a cute idea, too. Put the jello in a cake pan, preferrably a clear glass one (so the fish can be seen swimming), and use it like a cake. You could even stick some birthday candles in it.

I think Cool Whip is a non-dairy whipped topping. Check its label to be sure.

Cool whip is NOT dairy free :) But you could sumthing really traditional like ur popsicle because they are only four. Even if you want to go fancy then do sum shushies.... fancy style! Get some juice out of ur fridge and then have some ice fozen. Get that out to. Grind the ice and put the juice in and put in any thing else you might think might help =) Well i tried my best hope this works.

yeah, but the cake is for your daughter, not that kid. cool whip, i'm sure, is dairy. why don't you have cake and maybe get sorbet too or something. or, sure, do jello with gummy fish..in a fish bowl. get some candy rocks and put those on the bottom.

yea, just stick with what u have in mind already. make jello that u can shape into stars and other shapes-triangle, square... u got the idea. candy, but not candy bars. maybe sour candy, gummi worms. anything colorful, like the Goldfish snacks that are colorful. i would check up on the cool whip. i think it is a dairy product.

You can buy a dairy free milk at the grocery store called "Rice Dream". It comes in original, vanilla, and chocolate flavor. Then you can do this:
Make a pie crust with butter, sugar, vanilla extract(it has to crumble)and press it in a pan, then add a pie filling(or make one)and bake that, serve chocolate rice dream instead of chocolate milk(or vanilla rice dream instead of regular milk with that pie. You can add cool whip, it is non dairy and I am pretty sure the kids would love that.

Another option would be pudding cooked with rice dream(instant doesn't bind with it), and serve that with cool whip and fruit!!!!!

Rice Krispy Treats. Always a good option. (Don't get the off brand or make them yourself.)
