I am a young person very interested in health and nutrition. It bothers me that this nation relies so heavily on pharmaceuticals instead of taking care of themselves before "disease" occurs.
I lost my mother to systemic lupus after her 13 year battle with it. Near the end I tried to get her to start consuming large amounts of fruits and vegetables high in antioxidants, perhaps even to go vegan, but the willpower wasn't there for her.
My girlfriend's uncle has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer and been estimated 2 years to live. I believe his life could be saved with some sort of nutritional therapy, but I'm not sure what exactly to do, any ideas?

I've already asked this question but I haven't gotten any straight answers. Does the pink part of the nail grow back again, and if so, are there any kinds of limitations to this growth (I mean does it grow again after long-term nail-biting, nail-loss is quite a different thing). And also, besides those bad tasting polishes, how do I stop biting my nails? any tips?

I was at the store buying soap, and I found it was cheaper to by a bulk jug of Dial anibacterial handsoap that to buy antibacterial body wash. My friends came over to my house and saw the jug of Dial in the shower, because I was using it for body wash instead. They scolded me becuase they heard it was harmful to use antibacterial handsoap as body wash. I have checked the ingredients, and there really is no difference. There are no warnings against using the handsoap for your whole body, so why not???

A couple months ago my knees would hurt when i bend them for longer than 25 seconds. When i would straighten them out the would crack. It stopped and now my right knee is starting again.Should i go see a doctor!?

I don't know if this is because I used to wear tight underwear as a kid but my penis looks very weird and I know this can't be normal. First off, it bends like a banana. I've heard thats normal. But where it get's worse is it appears uneven. The left side seems to have "more meat" than the right. And when I stand up, it looks totally deformed on the right. Im curious to know, if at all, this is normal. And if not, what kind of treatment or what I could do. I swear to god this is not a joke. Im 18 and it's been like this for years.

I have pretty much turnerd into a hypochondriac since i was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder....i have been stressed out about it, and have been getting much better, with out medication!.....they gave me a chest x ray, a EKG, a holtor monitor (24hr) and a ct scan....but i still have some really light, constant chest pain, its like, between 2 ribs...is this just me worrying or shold i go into the hosipital again tomorrow? i just worry about EVERYTHING...im getting sick og worring about being sick!

I want a sleeping pill that doesn't give you drymouth at night. Anyone taken a good pill that doesn't have bad side effects? Trazadone and Ambien are no good.

My daughter is almost 4. She has been throwing up for almost 24 hours,non stop, at least once an hour. She is throwing up white phlem, and running a 101.8 degree fever on top of all of this. Does anyone know of a GREAT home remedie for this? I have offered fluids, but she won't take it. Popsicles just come back up, chicken noodle soup doesn't help, she sat in a warm bath..nothing is helping. I am afraid she will become dehydrated. She has the diahrea too..so she is getting it from both ends. Please help!!! And yes, I know the hospital is an option, but they say not to go in unless the symptons occur for more than 3 days without seeing a doctor.

I have a short mom 5'3, and a tall Dad who is 6'2 and My dads Dad is 6'4. I look like my Dads side and I'm already an inch taller than my mom. When im asleep, i would have a bad dream and then i would suddenly wake up in the middle of the night and my whole body would be numb and i couldnt move it and there would be ringing in my ears. This lasts for like a few seconds. My mom says she gets this alot too, and she says its about low blood pressure and sometimes the blood circulation crashes a little, is this true?
