I have noticed people around me who have varicose veins are all large. I wonder if thin people get them too. If you have varicose veins do your legs ache if you stand for too long?

i do this weird dry heave thing when i'm asleep. it happens either when i'm just starting to fall asleep, or when i'm dreaming and it wakes me up. i can feel my stomach pumping and trying to throw up but nothing comes up. and i KNOW i have food in my stomach. i don't know if i'm gagging or i'm trying to throw up or what. but it happens at least once a week. and when this happens i never feel sick before, but i feel sick after my stomach woke me up.

I have several issues with my stomach and was put on Nexium 40 mg/day by my doc. Three days into taking this med I developed bone pain in my pelvis and femurs. During activity (ex. skiing) the pain was debilitating. A pharmacist advised me to stop taking the Nexium. Sure enough three days off of it and my bone pain is completely gone. My doctor is unconvinced, but I don't want to take this med if it's causing this pain...any advice/similar experience?

After coming home from ortho surgery, people keep coming over to see how I am. I know they mean well, but if you have ever been in the hosptial, you know there is no sleep there, and if you do, they wake you up for something. So when I got home, I was tired, in pain and not up to company for the first few days. How can you tell someone you really do not want company. Honest, as soon as one left another came and the phone rang off the hook. Am i just a meanie or has anyone else felt this frustration?

Yesterday I asked if it was too early to wear flip-flops and a girl told me, "I think it still is a little to cold for flip flops. But a word of advice, I would find something other that flip flops. They are really bad 4 your feet, and even though they feel comfy, when you get older it's more likely that you will have problems with your feet. "
How are flip-flops bad for your feet?

Could that also be caused by takeing Tylenol #1s for I have been haveing to take quite a few of them lately for pain. Any help is gratefull. Thank-You Dave R.

Hi.im having no problem with keeping my lips unchapped but i have something weird on my lip. Every day(i think atleast when i put on my chapstick) in the corners of my lips I get this white line that i can get rid of with a tissue or when i drink something, but is very annoying.it comes back though after an hour or two. Then if i let it go it will go to the back of my lip and meet with the other side.

So anybody have any tips?

A couple of months ago I realized that when I chew, my jaw makes noise. It's not that loud (I dont even think other people can hear it) but I know its there. Sometimes when I open my mouth wide I can hear it too. I've researched TMJ. I don't get headaches that often, and my jaw never hurts. If the noise is the only symptom I have, do I still have TMJ or can it be something else. I dont know if it matters but I was at the dentist last month and he took x-rays but I dont know if he would be able to tell if I had TMJ since he wasn't even looking for it.
