massaging your muscles hurts you as you are lossening them up
they are knotted and the massaging will eventually make you feel a lot better

My thought is, if they are hurting when someone is massaging them, they don't exactly know what they're doing.

I apologize, I have no idea if massaging sore muscles is good for them, but I do know alternative ways to relieve your soreness. I advise those bath fizz balls (like little balls of powdery stuff) that say they're for sore muscles-go with something herbal, NOT chemical if possible.

Another tip is to use a really small electric blanket. I'm not quite sure if they're called "heating pads" but they're about 1x2 feet long and they have adjustable heats. THESE ARE SURE TO WORK. Every time I, or anyone else in my household has sore muscles we wrap it around the most painful limb and lay down. After time, the heat will really make you feel so much better.

| site above has those heating blankets/pads. They are relatively small.

I hope that helps,

You're right it does always hurt but that's only because the muscle is so tense. The massaging and kneading helps to relax the knots and you should start to feel more pleasure in the massage once it starts to warm up the muscle and do it's magic (it would be even better of Brad Pitt was doing the massaging lol!!!).

Start with a light massage. After a few minutes when they start to loosen, increase the pressure. They will thank you tomorrow.

Hmmmm I would think so .If you need immediate relief that would be the best thing for it. you can also get into a whirlpool and theat helps with the soreness.

ice, elevate, rest, and heat. alternate heat and ice.

use an ice pack and fill and old sock with rice and tie it tight. out it in the microwave for about 30 second. it'll be very warm.

also try icyhot rubs and hot baths.
