I have noticed people around me who have varicose veins are all large. I wonder if thin people get them too. If you have varicose veins do your legs ache if you stand for too long?

Yes I have seen many thin people with varicose veins...varicose veins are from faulty valves in the vessels that allow blood to flow backwards.

When I turned 28 I already had been in pain, embarrassed, and scared of becoming pregnant. I didn't want my big blue varicose veins to get worse. The All Natural Varicose & Spider Vein Solution program was an easy read and easy to do. Within 21 days there was a big difference in how my legs looked and I can wear shorts without feeling embarrassed. I feel so much better with more energy and for giving me back a healthier body, and the legs that a 28 year old should have.

Yes thin people get them. But you are correct most people with varicose veins are overweight and have poor circulation due to lack of exercise.
Varicose veins are caused by blood refluxing in a vein and pooling there. I weigh about 118 - am 5.9 and have had mine worked on every 5 years since turning 25 with stripping and injections. The most painful kind are the vaginal ones you get when pregnant. The ones in the lower calf leg really ache and hurt to the point you need meds. Putting the feet up doesn't help, crossing your legs wont give you them. Prescription support hose is the only way to provide relief along with meds.

varicose veins are a sign of poor circulation... body type is not necessarily an indication of the problem. and yes, people with varicose veins have leg aches and cramps when standing for too long, again, due to the poor circulation

Yes, anyone can get them. Vericose veins are hereditary. They're probably just more noticable to you on larger people.

NOT AS COMMON AS LARGE PEOPLE. BUT THEY CAN. THEY CAN ACHE IF BLOOD IS POOLED IN THE VEINS AND STAYS THERE. PUT LEGS UP ON STOOL FREQUENTLY.

My grandmother was very, very skinny, and her legs looked like large metropolitan road maps. So, yeah, anyone can get them. I don't know about the pain part of your question.

Unfortunately, WE do. They have nothing to do with weight, they're caused by poor circulation in the legs.

Yep, it has nothing to do with weight, its hereditary. If your grandma or mom has them, you'll get them too. As far as I know there is no pain associated with them, but I could be wrong.
