What do people think about straight guys that shave their legs? Why do men have to have hairy legs? What is so wrong with a guy taking care of his body and having smooth skin and hairless legs?

Ok, I have been sick 4 times in the last 2 months. The first 2 times I had some sort of "cold" as the doc's called it (by the way I'm in the Navy so that might say something). I had fevers aching back from the fevers headaches whenever I coughed. A lil nasuea and dizziness. The 3rd time I had a swollen throat with "Almost No Voice" that hurt like hell. I was told since there was no "White Spots it wasnt strep and I would be fine. Well that last 7 days. And now I am sick again the same as the first 2 times. The medical people here think I am faking it and wont see me on time. And whats really bad is usually my fevers go down in the day time and come back at night so the 1st two times they checked me my fevers were 99.1 or something close. But later on at night when I took it, it was 102.8 . Ok so heres my question! Is this normal to be sick this often????????

Hearing this from a guy might sound funny BUT the situation is actually scary and made me scream.

I am sure if any guy experienced this, he would scream.

I was lying on my side in bed, resting, trying to sleep, on the phone and suddenly, a SPIDER comes crawling from under my blankets. and I can see it get close to me since I am on my side. I was getting close to my chest and I basically SCREAMED and got up.

I found the nearest thing I could. I got a water bottle and smashed it. Then I flushed it down the toilet.

The spider wasn't small or big. It was medium sized about the size of your thumb.

I am horrified I HATE spiders.

Now I am not going to sleep for the rest of the night.
I have class and tests in the morning too :(

So has anyone experienced something like this?

What can I do to get rid of these spiders? WHERE DO THEY COME FROM? I kill at least one a week or so.

if he was to walk an hour each day, just around the block and so, do you think this would make a significant difference in 3 or 4 months? if its done daily..

This has been an ongoing issues for me. I have some difficulty with anxiety and depression. I also have a 19 month old girl, so taking sleeping agents is not an option for me as I can't be really groggy from popping pills. I've tried everything else though.....warm milk, massage, relaxation/meditation music, soaking in the tub with lavendar, and an occassional glass of wine. Wine, or even a malt beverage, works for me, but it's also like a sleeping pill....I have to make sure that I have at least eight hours to devote to sleep if I am going to go that route. Yes, I have discussed this with a doctor. Any other suggestions?

Do double-blind studies explain the nature of what is being tested to the subject? Or is the test done with no explanation of the nature of the test? I assume a subject would want to know what the test is about before volunteering.
Knowing that the only options are to receive the test product or a placebo, wouldn't the subjects anticipation, simply guessing or misinterpreting minor syptoms they might experience, cause a multitude of incorrect results? I understand the double-blind procedure, but how is the subjects belief system which is where the placebo effect occurs, controlled?
