Ok, I have been sick 4 times in the last 2 months. The first 2 times I had some sort of "cold" as the doc's called it (by the way I'm in the Navy so that might say something). I had fevers aching back from the fevers headaches whenever I coughed. A lil nasuea and dizziness. The 3rd time I had a swollen throat with "Almost No Voice" that hurt like hell. I was told since there was no "White Spots it wasnt strep and I would be fine. Well that last 7 days. And now I am sick again the same as the first 2 times. The medical people here think I am faking it and wont see me on time. And whats really bad is usually my fevers go down in the day time and come back at night so the 1st two times they checked me my fevers were 99.1 or something close. But later on at night when I took it, it was 102.8 . Ok so heres my question! Is this normal to be sick this often????????

I have been going through the same thing. My husband is in the Army, so I see doctors on base who just keep telling me it's a cold and nothing else. Last time I went in, I had been running a fever for 2 days but at the appointment it was only 99.5 so the doc acted like he didn't believe me. The military community here has had some really nasty respiratory things going around that have landed several adults and children in the hospital as well. Are you seeing military doctors, the medic, a PA, or civilian doctors? Over here, the health clinic will give you appointments but not tell you that you aren't seeing a doctor, but only a PA. I think that is fine for some things, but not for all.

Are there other people in your squadron getting sick. Sometimes when people are in groups they tend to get sick more often. I know when my brother was in the Navy he got sick more than he did in the previous 19 years. Take a good men's multi vitamin and take at least 1,000 mg of vitamin c a day.
