The best way to unclog a stuffy head without using medicine is to boil a small pot of water, take the pot off the stove, and get a large beach towel, take the pot of boiling water put it on the table, the take take the towel and drape it over your head and inhale the steam for about eight minutes.Your head should clear up after a few of these steam treatments. It takes time,so dont give up.If you have a small jar of vicks vapo rub drop a little dollop of that into the hot water and inhale it. I hope you feel better. Rubberstampr

Sit in a steamy shower with your head tilted back a bit for 10 - 15 minutes. It will dilate (open up) your blood vessels and the stuff plugging your nose will turn into liquid and drain normally.

You can get habituated to pseudephedrine. That means if you take it a lot, you can get a reverse reaction, your body reacting as if going off it is a signal to get plugged up. You may have taken too much and need to back off.

take a steamy shower and apply warm compress to your forehead and nose area......however i have chronic sinis problems and severe allergies but rarely use pill unless I am absolutely ill with sinus headache. But 1 thing that is medication that I absolutely must have is the Vicks nasal inhaler , its not nasal spray(which burns too much) you just take 2 sniffs in each nostril and happy breathing....can be bought at any drugstore near cough drops etc. you could use the vicks in hot water with the towel over your head method too but....the vicks nasal inhaler does the same thing and is more portable.

Mkay, get 5 cough drops, and or mints, (preferably menthol active), but you get some hot water, drop em in there. Stir, until you know they are getting warm and melting. Get towel, drape it over back of yer head, so that it catches vapors. Breath in for about 5/10 mins. You will have temporary relief, do it as needed, no harmful anything, good luck. This really works.

Olbos Oil is really good, it's a strong inhalant decongestant and it really does work-you put a few drops on your tissue and breathe it in and it gives immediate relief and helps you breathe. you can also use it at night when you're sleeping if you put a few drops on a tissue and put it on your pillow, providing all night relieft and helping you sleep. you can buy Olbos oil from pharmacies, boots and superdrug etc.

also, a warm bath might help clear your nasal passages.

hope this helps and get well soon!

Saline rinses. Get checked out by an ORL/ENT, you may have something in your sinuses. Polyps would be a good example here.

OH, you might try a little affrin right before your rinses to help open you up. email me if you don't know how to make saline.

Take a long, hot shower with the door closed and the fan off. It will clear your nose AND make you kind of hungry.

I know this is going to sound weird, but trust me it works! Boil some water and put some vicks in it. and when it starts to steam put your head over the boiling water and sniff it in. It clears your nose right up.

Japanese trick: Rub the end of the bone at the side of your nose that's plugged up, for thirty seconds. (Fifteen does it for me!)

If you're at home, a hot shower will do it. If you alternate with two minutes of cold, that will Really do it! (Rub down real good with a towel, afterwards.)
