I am 38 & & have never worn glasses due to good eyesight.Of late I've been experiencing a little blur in my eyes. This happens mostly after I'm staring at my pc (old) monitor for a long time or looking at the light.I'm not able to refocus immeditely or read a book until i close my eyes for a while.Sometimes when I wake up after sleep I'm unable to focus & read for sometime.Ofcourse in general I've been experiencing a little strain reading smaller letters. Is this focus problem a deficiency or do I need glasses.Overall looking at bright objects or screens are begining to pose a problem.

ok so i have astigmatism in my right eye.itsn not bad,but my doctor says i shouldnt try to wear nomral contact lenses. i always thought that 1800contacts was alot or atleast cheaper than your eye doctor. at my eye docor its $270 for both eyes. including my right eye (acuvue advanced for astigmatism). but i just checked 1800contacts. thats how much it cost ONLY for the toric contacts. is that normal?this is all for a year. so why is it that my eye doctor is half as cheap?

ps. this is the first year that i have contacts. i just got some contacts from my eye doctor a week ago.i didnt have to pay for them.

please help! i really dont want my mom to pay to much!.
thx

I just got contact lenses. I'm wearing them right now. I haven't changed the solution since yesterday because I've heard you only refill the case if the solution looks like it's finishing. But then I heard another story. Okay, is this right? I don't think it is.

In the morning, you put the contacts in your hand as you clean/rub them and put them in your eyes. Then you throw away yesterday's solution.

At night, you put the contact lenses back in the case. And then the process repeats.

Is this right? So we just clean the contacts in our hand before putting them on. Ok I'm ****ing confused!!!!! Help me, lol and explain slowly and easily.

I don't understand what 20/70 or 20/200 even means. All I know is that my prescription for my left eye is 6.50 and my right eye is 7.00 and someone told me that means that I'm legally blind. Is that true? And what is the prescription number to be classified as legally blind?

I will be purchasing a pair in September. They cost a fortune. I was wondering about durability. I am also getting a Crizal coating on the lens. If you know these products please share your wisdom with me before I spend our hard earned money.I had a horrible and expensive experience with my last pair of glasses. (Not Sillouhettes or Crizal.) Thank you!

Since about three years, right after traumatic event, I started having a preassure in my right eye. The preasure is mild and dull. It lasts couple of hours sometimes 30 minutes sometimes more. Sometimes my eye is getting red and little swolen, watery or dry, but it goes away after 5 hours. The preassure is king of disturbing. I feel small preasure on the other side of my head. The preassure can go away for 3-4 months and then comes back.I am wearing computer glasses, and have eye exam with eye doctor every 6 months and they said there is nothing wrong with my eyes, eye preassure etc.. I am also diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression and take medication. The tenssion/preassure usually happenes when I do not feel good methaly. My pdoc and falily doc say that those preassures are from me being anxious and tense. What do you think.

I'm looking for a website that sells contact lenses where I don't need to have my doctor approval.
I went and had an eye check a little less than a year ago and tried to buy contacts on 1800-contacts.com, but they told me the eye check I had was different from getting your eyes checked for contacts. I don't want to have to pay for another eye doctor visit. So does anyone know a website that won't ask for this information?

I got serious astigmatism after the lasik surgery, not right after the surgery but gradually getting worse, image can be well recognized but with a cluster of gleam around, and the deepness of real image is slightly lightened, I didn't pay attention to it first but afterwards the symptom is getting worse, I don't know what the problem is, I do read a lot and face computer everyday, but before I got the surgery my eyes keep in the steady state since 5 years ago without getting worse, so I wanna find the reason. I wonder if it is because when I study, when I concentrate, I unconsciously strain my eyes, which strain the cornea causing the deformation of cornea (the cornea is thinner than before for it's cut by lasik surgery) . So the cornea is becoming thinner and thinner, it's suppose to be very dangerous if the cornea become thinner, which is what I concern about, I wish I could stop the diaster but the situation is still getting worse, can somebody help me? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I have pretty bad eyes, I have astigmatism in both eyes and nearsighted in one..

And wear a -0.5 -1.75 in one eye, and -6.25 in the other in contacts.

Just recently when I was on the computer, I noticed that parts to words, started to become missing, then when I looked around I noticed that I could only see half of everything really, and it looked sort of like, when you look into a bright light for too long, you see the light spot, except I havent looked at a light, just the computer screen.
I can barely see what I am writing on here.
Its only on the right eye, which is the one with nearsightedness, and the -6.25 one, that is "half blind"

I am also 26 weeks pregnant, and I know that your eyes change alot when your pregnant.

But what should I do?
I think I am going blind or something.
All day my head has sort of hurt too.

is this bad for your eyes in comparison to visine (vasoconstrictor)?

the bottle says not to utilize after contacts are in, why?

thanks =)

My right eye has been bloodshot in the lower posterior corner for the last few weeks-- there's no pain, itching, swelling, or vision impairment though, and it only affects that one area. the redness kind of gathers aroung my iris. somedays it's a little worse, and a little clout of red forms at the rim of my iris.

i've been wearing contact lenses for two years, so i doubt that's the problem, because even when i took them out for a weekend (I can't go longterm without them, i have no proper prescription glasses), they didn't get better at all. i also broke out a fresh lens for the eye, and it hasn't improved.

anybody know what's wrong? should i get it looked at?

I'm 13...I have tried contact lenses, but have had to stop because in the middle of the day they get blurry and I can't see through them at all. If I move them around back where they're supposed to be then I can see again. I have heard that there's a special lens made for astigmatism. (I have astigmatism.) Has anybody tried these and do they work?
