The recovery from lasik is the easiest of all the laser correction procedures. The thickness of my cornea forced my doctor to use the PRK procedure on my eyes, and it took about two weeks to recover from that. Lasik may take less than a day.

No idea how your doctor is going to keep your son's attention long enough so that he keeps his eye still for the laser to zap it.

Well-explained, Jack S., above.

Does he have lazy eye or a turned eye? Lazy eye is not corrected with surgery but turned eye is. LASER is not used to correct turned eyes, is it some other procedure? Or some other condition?

Your questions cannot be answered on an Internet forum like this; the answers depend upon the specific details of your son's case and can only be answered by someone who has examined him.

"Laser eye surgery" laso known as "Lasik" depending on the type of laser.

The laser is used to correct muscular problems in your sons case, also treating the optic nerve to create more control for your childs condition. The operation lasts only a few minutes and he shouldn't need a patch, but will likely need to use eye drops.

Your spelling's not so bad! But in some cases lasik can involve eye patches.

Which country are you in. In USA you have to be atleast 18 to get lasik. It is a dangerous operation so be careful and once more contact with your opthalmologist.
