My right eye has been bloodshot in the lower posterior corner for the last few weeks-- there's no pain, itching, swelling, or vision impairment though, and it only affects that one area. the redness kind of gathers aroung my iris. somedays it's a little worse, and a little clout of red forms at the rim of my iris.

i've been wearing contact lenses for two years, so i doubt that's the problem, because even when i took them out for a weekend (I can't go longterm without them, i have no proper prescription glasses), they didn't get better at all. i also broke out a fresh lens for the eye, and it hasn't improved.

anybody know what's wrong? should i get it looked at?

The only way to tell what is wrong is to have your eye doctor check it out.

Go get your eyes checked. Probably just a ruptured vein. Buy yourself a cheap pair of back up glasses for time like this so you don't ruin your eyes wearing contacts when you shouldn't.
