My BF blames himself for everything. He also comes from a large family who treat him like the family scapegoat. He feels that it is his fault that the dog died. Guilty that he could have done more.
Guilty that all of his siblings are moving away and that he would like to do this as well but feels that he would be abandoning his parents. That everyone else has left them and now he is going to be the really bad guy for leaving. I am sure that they don't feel this way but he brings these thoughts on to himself. How do I help him stop this maddness?

A friend of mine is really trippin on a lot of things..and it's getting worse..she can't calm down..the more she worries, she tends to get a tad bit of nausea..she doesn't want to eat..she can't sleep because she worries, worries, worries! I don't know what she did to cause her to act like that, but that does cause you to get sick, doesn't it?

My young son is 3 turning 4 and has been showing signs of OCD. I am worried that he might have it. My older brother has it really bad and at time my son will say or repeat phrases that sounds just like what my brother would do and still does now as an adult. So I was wondering when do signs normaly show up and if he does have what can I do to help him. OCD seems to run in our family but no one in my family has ever been treated while in childhood.

I've been on 10mg of Paxil for a month (they call it a sub-clinical dose) and 1mg of Atavan for panic disorder. When I come off, will the fact that these dosages are relatively low make it easier for me to come off of the drugs? Any info is appreciated guys.

I'm a psychology major, and I've always wondered if people who are going through psychotic episodes, or any type of psychosis realize what is happening to them, and how they feel. I had a professor tell me that when she was in college, she suffered from a brief psychotic episode, and had to be medicated, but that she didn't remember much of the month she was "out of it". Any thoughts?

I had severe clinical depression for 6 years and have recovered with anti depressants and continue to take them. My friend had depression and I would listen or just 'be' with him. I thought I was helping him. He got impatient trying different medications and resorted to illegal drugs. I was totally nieve for the longest time. When his symptoms lessened, I was hopeful that the meds were working. The ups and downs were confusing though, I wanted to believe. He was smart, devious and a liar, I learned all this in hind sight. He wants back into my life, I told him to pay back the cash he owes me and prove that he is clean and sober. I don't know if I can trust anything he says.

In first grade my teacher constantly caught me daydreaming and eventually moved me away from the class window. I have always been very random, but daydreaming takes up so much of my time and I dont mean it to. I get caught up in little details or futuristic dreams for hours, or just staring at a test review that I cant manage to actually study for more than 20 min. I have brought up that I think I should be tested for ADD cause I feel through research that I fit all the criteria, yet my mom thinks of it as a handicap. I just finished my first semester and did poor in grades because I feel I can never focus. How do I convince my mom or do I do it on my own? I know that I need help and I believe ADD medication will fix my problem. Where do I go to get tested? thank you so so so much!

I wandered if there was a known cure for clinical delusions? To name them they would be....grandiose, jealous, persecutory, somatic, and erotomanic. Has anyone been cured i guess is what i am wondering or is there a treatment like psychoanalysis that can cure these problems. Cause i think i have stumbled onto the cure for them. See my yahoo 360 page http://profiles.yahoo.com/dudeilostmybrain where i explain.
All in all i wonder if science has figured out a cure.

okay. im a cutter and im starting to become anerexic. my friend told my guidance counselor the day before christmas break, and she (counselor) said she would help me. she won't even talk to me now and i wonder if she doesn't care or if im not hurt bad enough yet. im sad all the time and have problems with my parents as well. i am also verbally hurt at school and really can't take it. My guidance counselor was supposed to help but i guess she doesn't want to or something. Know i just want to die.
also i feel horrible when i eat and i only eat dinner & a snack, so im not really anerexic, but my friend says i am.
god im so hurt right now.

i have a big time problem with this because things like that can make me feel really depressed sometimes & it's not the confidence issue. i feel great in my own company and the company of other, tender people. i just want to learn to ignore the other type and not mind their presence.

thanx
