how long were you on them, how long did it take you? did you have any difficulties?

i was on Valium for 4 years - went from 2 mg to 25 mg a day - really whacked out
i couldn't cold turkey - i tapered off. completely off, in six weeks, no symptoms because i tapered.

I assume this is the same. Clonazepam I think is generic for "klonopin". I took it for 3 months to help sleep better. I had severe memry problems when taking it and a Dr. said just to quit. MY EXPERIENCE was nothing. No symptoms of withdrawal at all. That was me, I understand there can be a withdrawal period though.

If you taper off gradually you shouldn't have too many problems. If you've been taking them daily for a long period then quitting "cold turkey" can bring on a withdrawal syndrome similar to alcohol withdrawal. If you've used high doses for a long time you should definitely talk to your doctor about quitting them. Serious withdrawal symptoms like seizures, hallucinations and delirium could develop.
