hi all,i feel really awful,like no-one cares or if they say they do then they'll let me down or hurt me.i feel like i can't trust anyone and i can only trust myself.i have been let down by people that i really did care about but they hurt me in terrible ways.i feel awful,like i am living for no reason,that my life is empty and worthless.

Hello everyone,, i am new to this board.... Today is my 9th day on lexapro 5mg. My doctor wanted me to start 10mgs after one week, but i asked for another week because i feel that im not ready for 10 yet. I am experiencing side effects pretty bad... although they are getting better, i have some nausea, headaches, feel a little "out of it", and the one that bothers me the most?! INSOMNIA!! I have to take a xanex at nite just to even be able to fall asleep, and i still wake up all night long. I notice that after i take my pill, for a few hours im kinda jittery, then around 5 hours after i take it im kinda zombied out... I guess what my question is is will these side effects, espicially the insomnia go away with time?? around how long? i need sleep in order to work!! and also my other question is, when i up my dose from 5 to 10mgs next week, will the side effects get worse?? Anyone that has any experience with this please give me some advice... ... also is it better to take it in the mornin or at night?? Thanks everyone...

I am looking for websites to understand why teen cuts..... mostly intersted in cutting through teen pressure. I have found some on google but was wondering if anyone knew of any that were really helpful in understand and stopping someone from cutting.

i cant get into a psychiatrist until jan. 9th because of my hectic work schedule and theyre not easy to get into. Im going out of my mind with all of this. and i just want to know what med has been the best for people who are treated for OCD. i also have anxiety. i know not every med works the same for every person. but i just want some insight, because i want to get this under control as soon as possible.

today I skip class becasue she was there. Please encourage me to not fell in love, this feeling is not wonderful its burning and suffering. My heart want to be happy but my mind says attachments brings suffering and this feeling I felt is a great example of it. I need a life

Hi.. I have a problem with driving... everytime i have to go somewhere, or when some1 asks me to pick them up etc, i get scared, nd when im driving i get so overwhelmed by all the cars, and i it makes me nervous, nd i feel like sthg bad is gonna happen.. Ok when i was a first began to drive, i thought the fear is normal, and with time it will go away, but its been 2yrs, and its getting worse..... i hate the fear nd sometimes i feel that i will get hurt if i get so overwhelmed and nervous when driving..... i dont know wat to do..... i need help

MY son and is addicted to RX drugs. He wants help now but has no job, money or insurance. His wife is also addicted. He now wants help but they have run up all my credit cards to buy drugs so I can't help him. He has friends in a rehab in Lexington so I would like to find one farther away from home. I pressed charges against both him and his wife for forging checks and they are court ordered to rehab, but that has not been any help. You still have to do it all yourself unless you want them to sit in jail with other addicts for 6 to 8 months while they try to find them a place. Not to mention the fact that you can get the durgs while you are in jail too.

well i use to be an honor student i was never the smartest student i made a 15 on my act and i was getting help on my algebra i had a tutor 4 maybe a week i took my test and made a 15 i just cant think on simple issues is my depression getting worse or what i have more problems 2 mention or is it the pills and what should i do

I had a live in girlfriend for 2 years, (we were supposed to gt married we hade made all the arrangements) I really loved her, things didnt work out because i was in the military, and we seperated, I last saw her 10 years ago. The break up and being deployed constantly stressed me out where i think i had a nervous breakdown, I lost alot of weight and couldnt function. I went from being frugal, clean, orderly, prompt and punctual to neglecting bills, didnt clean my house up, always late and grabbing clothes out of the dryer.etc etc(I was anti social after awhileI got into trouble and was forced out of the miliary.)


Ive had several relationships and even remaried, (now seperated) but theres not one day that goes by that I think of her everyday, is that normal to still miss and think of her after more than 10 years of not seeing her?

My boyfriend is Bipolar and I do not know what to do. I've been addicted to it on and off the past 5yrs whilst spiralling in and out of depressive boats. I mostly use movies and the like to take me away. I'll rent a stack of video's atleast once a week, they are my "painkillers". I am aware that i've let myself fall into a cycle of "living" vicariously through fictional characters and telling myself tomorrow, tomorrow, soon, soon i'll get thing's together and that will be my pay back. Well it's been years now and i'm afraid my dreams and goals are becoming just that - fiction and fantasy.. On some days when i'm faced with reality i realize what i've done because i find it so difficult to cope.. I'm addicted to it and don't know what i'd do with myself if i didn't have this outlet to go to.. what to do, snap out of it yes, it's so logical......but not.

If you have been diagnosed with depression and take medications for it.....do you have to be on medications your entire life? When do you know it's the right time to come off the medication (with a doctors approval only, of course). Coming of the medication may cause a rebound effect....??

Seems to me addictions don't stop and they lead loved one's to believe everyone else is to blame - family makes you drink. What? That creates paranoid behavior. The victims of this cult are telling family members this and they are also ending up on physcotic drugs and disability - drugged to live life and more addiction. How are the drug stocks doing lately?

Our loved one came into town for a funeral and got into a fender bender - turned around and drove all the way back to the other side of the state where he lives. Later he announces again that this funeral caused that accident and not only is he intoxicated during this conversation he also takes scripts. AA is making people turn away from God when they are teaching people everything is someone elses fault....in this case a deceased family member. What on earth?

My husband quit slamming down beer without AA. He has had a glass of wine about 5x over a period of 10 yrs not craved to drink the entire bottle or craved beer.
