First figure out what it is you're worrying about. (It helps to write it down) Then decide whether or not it's something you can actually do anything about or something you have control over. If it is, then decide what steps you need to take to reduce the worry. For example, if you worry your house is going to burn down, leave notes reminding yourself to turn off appliances before you leave the house or have your wiring inspected by an electrician. Taking steps to eliminate worries will help you to relax.

Second, if you're worried about something you have no control over, try and tell yourself that it's out of your hands. All the time you are wasting on worrying and stressing is getting you nowhere and serving no purpose than to make you upset.

Use replacement techniques. If you feel like you're starting to get worried about something, immeditaely replace the worried thought with something else, like what to make for dinner, where to go this weekend, or other hypotheticla situations, like, If I could have any job in the world, what would it be? You'll be too busy thinking about other things to worry.

You might be able to help the high-strung part by working out. Exercise does wonders for the mind and body!

Try deep breathing or some form of meditation. Often if you do this you will gain a different perspective on the situation and see that the worries really aren't worth worrying about.

smoking weed won't help you, trust me, the worrying goes away for a short period of time but it makes it even worse afterwards. i used to worry about a lot of things and the best remedy is exercise. i now workout and run everyday and I feel great! at first, i thought i didn't have time, but I did. instead of spending time smoking or fooling around, go to the gym or just go run outside, it feels great! tell me if it works out for you, good luck!

Count to 10 before acting/speaking. Analyze each problem, consider all the pros and cons, formulize a plan of action, and adhere to that plan.
If you are a christian, remember that Christ wore the crown of thorns for our mental well being. If you sincerely ask, He will help you with each problem.
