My mother-in-law is 52', she has been in a relationship for 9 year and has become obsessed with Jose Mourinho the chelsea manager. She has even took to watching football matches involving him in the hope of catching a glimse of him, her partner has even started calling her obsessed cause she has started cutting out paper clippings and buying key rings saying mrs Mourinho. She regulary goes away on holiday every year and goes out socialising so she is not lonely. This is not the first time she has been obsessed with someone first it was Antonio Banderas then it was John Malkovich, also she is overweight but cant stand overweight people and is always calling them and ginger people. Her middle daughter suffers from panis attacks because of the name calling from her over the years. Does she have a problem?

Darkness surrounds me, pain is all I feel
Like I'm drowning in this air I breath is any of it real
Emotions overcome me I cut but don't feel the pain
The storm of my life my tears are the rain

People all around me just walk on bi
While I'm stuck in this moment just waiting to die
The one's tat I love,always go away
It's just not fair why do they leave when I have to stay

Life's full of joy and happiness or so they say
No one ever want's to talk about the hurt and the pain
If the world is so perfect then why do I want to leave
if god does exist y don't I believe

I stand in a crowded room but i stand alone
I live in a house; it's not a home
No one could feel the way that I do
thats the storm of my life nothign ever changes ,
nothings ever new !

I have a friend that has been diagnosed and has been seeing a counselor. At times he gets depressed and has an 'i just dont care anymore' attitude and refuses to help himself and is very self destructive. He quit taking his meds and canceled his last appointment with his therapist saying that it isnt working and that it will never work. He used his time off to experiment with methamaphetamines and have unprotected sex. I tried to explain to him that he has to make an effort instead of just giving up all of the time. His only reply is that I dont understand, I dont know what Im talking about and that he is hopeless. How can I help him stay focused? Any resources that I can lead him to?

I've been on Lexapro for about 4 months. I'm gradually weening off of it because I didn't like it so much. I'm stepping down exactly as the Dr. said, but I'm having drastic mood swings and I'm super emotional. Is this normal? Also, are there any long-term side effects that I'll end up having from this medicine?

At school I do not have a lot of friends (I am shy) and i know everyone thinks i am weird like nerdy (even though i dress the same as them and go to the mall & movies etc.) whenever someone makes me mad i want to hurt them, i mean beat them up gun, i cuss whoever gets in my way out even if they werent a part of it. I get in constant fights (verbal harrassing and physical) with anyone who pisses me off (even over something stupid) sorry this is hard to follow, what should I do about this problem?

I have a history of alcoholism, I don't drink any longer, but drinking almost killed me. I ended up with "Severe Acute Necrotizing Pancreatitis," and only had a 30% chance of living. Well, as you can see I pulled through, but now i'm wondering if that ruined my chances to get help with my real problems.

I have MAJOR problems concentrating, like I can't have anything going on around me while i'm doing homework, or I flip out, and that is if I can even coherse myself into sitting down to study. I usually will get distracted while researching stuff, and end up researching something else, or doing things that are not what i'm supposed to be doing, etc.

I've done alot of research, and Adderall sounds right for me, but I have a past with addiction, plus I don't want to walk in there sounding like i'm looking for Adderall, because the doctors might think i'm just trying to get high from it...

Any suggestions on what I should do/say when I goto the Dr?
I only get 1 meeting.

We live in Michigan. My son has severe ADHD, and we've had to fight the school every step of the way- first with his diagnosis, then with what types of help they can offer. I was lied to at first about them being able to help with a diagnosis. I was lied to next about him not qualifying for counsling at school if I want him to have it.

I've read in the past through many different services that ADHD students who can not ride a regular bus can be put on a special education bus. When I brought it up last year, they refused to help me. Now, my son is being threatened with being expelled from the bus for the year because the bus garage supervisor does not like him. I know he acts out, but his bus driver has said twice he would NOT be written up (my older daughter witnessed that), only to have him turn around and write him up anyway.

Federal law mandates children with disabilities get access to services. Can ADHD be classified as a disability? And how?

I will be training hopefully soon next year to become a Psychologist. At the moment im working in a care home for adults with all different mental health issues, Ive seen how Psychologist behave around our clients, including their attitudes aswel as our homes doctor.

What i dont want is to be like all of them. Can anyone who has got a mental health prob;em and is under a Psychologist or who has been under one in the past please tell me how THEY made you feel? Good points and Bad points. Need my eyes to be wide open to everyones thoughts and see it from YOUR views.

It will be ver much appreciated. Thankyou

Well, both my parents were alcoholics, my grandfather molested me at the age of 7 years old. I've been in this realtionship with this guy for three years now.. When were out having a good time, or just cuddling on the couch, or talking in bed before we go to sleep, i start to get a big gulp in my throat and tears run down my face. It's seems i alway's get emotional when things are so perfect. I can't explain why I cry to him, because i don't know why. And i think he's starting to think I'm mentally ill. It only happens when I'm around him. Do I need counseling,

I just started taking Lexapro, but everything I have read says that it causes significant weight gain. Is there anyone out there who has taken Lexpro and not experienced weight gain? For those who did gain weight, were you able to shed the pounds quickly once you stopped the medication? I dont know if this is worth the risk.
