I have pretty long days, as I am working full time and pursuing my MBA. When I get home from work, I feel tired and stressed. Since there is only a limited number of hours before I have to go to sleep, I don't have time to do anything "fun." I just eat dinner, study, and get ready for bed. However, to relax myself, I turn on the TV in my room and put on the "sleep" function and basically fall asleep to it. My bf feels that I should not watch TV before going to bed as that disrupts my sleep. I have a lot of trouble sleeping as it is and I find it easier to sleep with the TV on because it distracts my mind and prevents me from thinking and worrying about everything on my mind. Is there anything wrong with falling asleep to the TV?

He has always been like this but last year he almost died due to an infection after surgery for a ruptured appendix and spent a week in ICU on a resperator and 3 weeks more in the hospital plus 3 months at home recovering and now he is very fearless. He is not reckless or taking chances but he literally has no fear now of dieing or being hurt. He is a happy kid and truly enjoys life but the fearless thing worry's me.

I am 18 and have always dealt with depression. My doctor just perscribed me Lexapro, but I am afraid that this is the beginning of a long road on anti-depressants, ups and downs, and withdrawals. It helps so much, though. Does anyone have experience with weening off such types of drugs? Are you okay once you're off it?

My sis is 27, divorced, 1 kid. Since the time she was a little girl, she had great imagination, like almost every child. But now she just makes up so much stuff, and what is worse she believes it! It could be everyday believable thing or completely sci-fi story and I don't know why she is like that. My mum tried to take her to see specialist, but she thinks everything is OK with her. I feel sad for her, why does she have to lie? It didn't start with her divorce, I suspect it was one of the reasons for divorce. Is she ill? What is her diagnosis, how can I help her?

I am on medicine for depression and anxiety. I have had several people tell me about a psychotic cocktail. I stay tired all the time and they are telling how much energy they have taking this cocktail. But I would like to know what it contains first, because I think I have tried all the antidepressants, and they only work for just a little while then I have to increase or change. I have lots of medical problems and a very high medication tolerance. I have been on high mg. of very dangerous medicines for many years and then they change them. I am manic depressed with a psuedotumer, and only 39 years old. Please help find the answer to my question. thank you

Over the last 3 days I have had the basic same dream twice. I wake up early in the morning and fall back asleep and have it. In the first dream I am running later for the subway and run to get it only to see my dad (who passed away just this week 2 years ago) also try and catch the subway and I wait for him but the subway leaves before we get on...then the subway stops and we get in...but I leave a suitbag of clothes outside as the train pulls away. The next dream I am late to catch a subway again...the subway is leaving but it stops and I get in and I meet a friend who happens to be in the same car (I don't often speak with this friend)...once again I tell him that I left a suitbag of clothes with another friend and I hope he makes it home so that he can give it to me!

What is going on...this is almost recurring...to give you another thought I am thinking about getting engaged vey soon and I know my g/f parents are not happy and think we are rushing etc.

Please help....

People tell me I'm so pretty, people tell me I'm so smart, people say the nicest things sometimes, problem is, I don't believe these things in my own head. How do I pick up my confidence? To top it off, i'm in law school right now and that sort of crazy stressful, competitive environment just brings out any insecurities you have about yourself. I need to get past this confidence issue in order to stay focused on my goal. Please someone offer some advice.
