I worked as a c.n.a with crital care elderly ,most of them strokes or Alzheimer's disease .and the parts that sound like a on set of this disease is she is having mood changes ,and child like behavior ,whining these sounds like Alzheimer's onset .But I'm very concerned with the fact she looses her food from her mouth ,to me that makes me think a very mild stroke ,ok and with Alzheimer's they tent to become depressed because they know something is not right and its in there mind and they become depressed this is in the Earlie stage .I would highly suggest you having her checked out ,don't think its just her age .they have medicine to slow this disease down .please have her checked out good .I have a special love for the elderly they go thru so much .God Bless

That very much sounds like Alzheimers - is she angry too?
Please take her to the doctors, to get a proper diagnosis.
My Grandad had Alzheimers and I would recommend having a full time carer-puttign the elderly into care homes only makes them worse.
Good luck, it's very nice to see someone you love in so much discomfort.

When we age, we revert back to childhood.
She is like a child now. Be sympathetic, compassionate.
She took care of u when u were doing the exact same things, as a child.
Love heals all.
Don't torture her with medication.
