your heart starts beating really fast and it "catches" your breath... you don't necessarily feel panic or stress. this can happen as you are waking up from sleep, or anytime during the day without warning.

Panic attacks differ greatly from person to person. A couple years back when I had what I like to call a "drug problem" I had a few panic/anxiety attacks. My throat would close off and I wouldn't be able to breath, my heart rate would go through the roof, and I'd be in a complete panic trying to catch my breath.... I felt like I was going to suffocate and die. Lucky for me I was in the hospital the first two times and right accross the street from one the last time.

If you think you are having panic or anxiety attacks I suggest you see a physician ASAP, as only they can properly diagnose your symptoms. If you want to find out more about panic attacks go to the link below.... this has a list of symptoms and a lot of other good information.

When I have panic attacks, my heart starts racing, I get short of breath, and have kind of a dissassociated feeling from my body. Also, my head starts to pound as well, and I break out in a cold sweat, kind of like right before you feel like your going to throw up. This is not a pleasent experience. I have to drop whatever that I am doing, relax, and take a few deep breaths. For most people, the worst thing you can think is, Oh my God, I'm having a panic attack! Then they forget to breath.

I used to get panic attacks.

I got sweaty, dizzy, and my heart rate sped up for no reason. I felt terrified against unknown threats. I thought I was going to die.

Not a very pleasant experience.

The usual symptom is that you are panicking.

You would probably feel light headed, you'd get sweaty, you may feel dizzy and faint, you would not be calm and would want to get out of that area as soon as humanely possible.

You have sudden feeling of doom. You cannot breathe, your heart pounds fast, you have nausea, sometimes vomit, sometimes chest pain, you feel like you may be dying. Sometimes you sweat. Visit your physican for a certain diagnosis. She/he can provide you with medication that can relieve symptoms and sometimes prevents them.

Well usually ZThe heart begins to race. You feel like your afraid that something is about to happen even when nothing is happening. I usually feel sick to my stomach when that happens and I have trouble seeing clearly.
