Actually we need to dream every night or else our brain would become damadged and we would die! Seriously. We need to dream, some people dont remember their dreams but they defenitaly have dreams and you have a couple hundred a night, not just one or two. So the fact that you can remember your dreams is suppose to represent that you have a sound mind. Its a good thing.

When you go to sleep, you dream a bit, then your body goes into deep sleep where you don't do any dreaming. When you are close to waking up you dream again.
You cannot stop yourself from dreaming, and it's not harmful for the body to do so.
I guess if you took tranquilsers or sleeping tablets you would get more sleep, but it probably wouldn't stop you dreaming.
Dreaming is a process that just happens, like sneezing.

That's not true, everybody dreams every night, we just don't remember every dream that we have. You are still getting rest if you are dreaming. I think the only people who don't dream are probably those who have serious mental illnesses and are on such strong meds that it stops their dreams. Don't try to stop yours, they are actually good for you. Sometimes your brain sorts out problems or things that are bothering you through the dreaming process.

The opposite is true. You need to dream to be healthy. If you often have dreams that disturb you, talk to a counselor about it.
In any case, you have no control over your dreams, so don't bother trying to prevent them or change them.

You were given inaccurate information. Everyone dreams even when they don't remember having dreamt because dreams are as essential to our health as sleep. Dreams are wonderful so please relax and enjoy them.
Now if you're "not" serious about his issue, I wish you sweet dreams with lots of giggles.

Try not to eat like 2 hours before falling asleep. Meditation can help clear your mind so that you do not have a lot on your mind. Otherwise you cant help it
