No......basically we are afraid of our own selves, and none else. So,if we happen to be at ease and peace with our own selves,we need not fear anything......we are no longer alone then.

We must spend babyhood with mother or we become a feral child. After that time alone is seen as punishment until parents push us out of the nest. The success of the cell phone shows that many dislike being alone. For myself I feel I enjoy a few people that I like but I always want to be free to move along when I meet new people. Too many bad marriages and being raised as an outsider have made me nervous of groups. Now that I have removed all the wrong expectations for love and sex I just look for moments when the joy of sex is very good. The concept of love and a partner is an illusion unless it is seen as a requirement to enter a mixed group where everyone can share a partner. Females are more easily grouped with the same sex than males ever were. Today the TV and videos allow us to spend time alone without anxiety. Every depression is caused by bad expectations from the group. Depression is enhanced if we think that just being with someone is the way to remove the pain or the fear of pain of lonliness. I think those who have stayed in the winners circle feel they cannot survive alone.

No, I am never alone because I know that my father and all love ones that have gone to another dimension are with me in spirit. By the way we all have guardian angels
(someone that helps us when we are down and suffering)
It is good to be alone at times, I like to read, to be on answers, to go shopping, visit a museum etc.. I never get bored because I know how to entertain myself and when you have many interests, time goes fast. That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy friends and being together with other people. Life is a mixture of different stages, there are times we are left alone in order to find the meaning of life and how to improve ourselves toward others and toward ourselves. Don't be afraid to be alone!!!

There's being alone as in wanting some breathing space, time away from all the noise of this world like kids, cars, trains, industrial noise e.t.c and there is being alone as in you can't help it, you are in solitude may be coz you feel you don't fit in with the folks out there or no one wants yr company. Ofcourse the latter one is scary coz you are having all this thoughts just gazing in space what it is like to be an islan

No I'm not afraid of being alone, if only I could turn off the noise in my head !! And I don't need anyone to talk to because I can talk to myself.

YES, i would hate to think that i was all alone, i have just spent nearly 9 weeks stuck at home with a broken foot and it has taught me to value the true friends that i have, these are the ones who have called to see me or phoned/text or e-mailed me. they kept me going when the cabin fever set in!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't really say I'm afraid of it, but I really don't like being alone in life. In fact, I'm more afraid of my retirement years than I am of death and dying.

well sometimes when i am really low or really excited about something... but mostly i am a private person and like to give myself all the time i get alone. but having firends arround is definetly better..

it depends on what kind of person you are... but still you will need some time to yourself to regain your thoughts, for me it helps when i can reflect on my life and get into my thinking mode for the future..
