This is a serious problem I have that has been effecting me for about two years now. My boyfriend always notices attractive women and I admit I used to get a little jealous. I'm over the jealousy now and can accept that OTHER women are beauitful and blessed with genes, and I can even accept that my boyfriend is turned on by them and will fantasize about them. However, every time I see an attractive woman anywhere (grocery store, tv, etc.) I feel nothing but negative thoughts about myself. It will bother me to the point where it could effect my whole day or throw my plans off course because I will start making plans to diet, lose weight, go shopping to spend money on products to make myself look better, or whatever isn't good enough about me. My thougths will be obsessed with things that are wrong with me, and how unattractive I am. I only notice skinny perfect looking girls.. and then try to make a plan of action to be like them but it honestly is ruining my life. any help?

What are your symptoms..? Are you on medication? If so, what? How long have you been diagnosed?

My husband was recently diagnosed as bi-polar. he is now and meds and is doing remarkably well. Before this diagnosis and medication, he was rude, abnoxious, abusive, angry, suicidal, and violent. There were always lies, aldulterous affairs, regression, and demoralization followed with apologies and tears. Is it safe to say all these things were due to his bipolar condition?

Am living a happy life and have a good husband whom am in love with - i also have two nice kids (ofcourse not angels but nice), yet i am very angry. i hate my anger toward my husband and kids and i hate the fact that there is no reason i can find causing this anger. But still little things tigger me and i get mad so quickly shouting at my kids or being rude to my husbad. Then when i cool down i regret the things i said or the behavious i made. i wasnot like that befor i gave birth to my kids. Is it the stress, the busy life...

Knowing that there is a mosquito in my room that I can't see is actually keeping me from turning off the lights and falling asleep. And now I am also fearful of sleep paralysis. I want one of you to virtually tuck me in and tell me a bed time story, reassuring me that there are no closet monsters, and that a mosquito will not suck mah blud tonite :(

I've been curious to know why we as humans can become so emotional about a dying animal on TV or a sad movie, yet if someone we know or in our family is very ill or dies we may not show tears or emotion as much?
I just ask this because a friend of mine gets very emotional about movies etc. but when her grandmother(whom she was very close to) died she didn't seem sad or emotional. Was she just in shock perhaps?
