You can't avoid problems and stresses. You've got to face up to them. I always tell myself, when something goes wrong, don't sit around and sulk or worry. Instead, use that time to find a solution for the problem. Everything has a solution to it.

Always stay positive and think the problems through from every angle. I had depression before too. The doctor insisted that I go for counselling which I thought was a total waste of money so I tried fixing it myself. And it really worked. DO NOT GO DRINKING.

If it's mild depression, just keep yourself occupied enough so you don't have time to think so much. Do healthy activities. Sports and etc. For me, good old retail therapy does the trick. Or even going on a short weekend trip. Sometimes I curl up with a coupla good books and just keep myself engrossed in them.

If you're facing a serious case of depression and can't handle it, then perhaps seeing a doctor would be good. Oh.. And surround yourself with happy positive people too. If your friends are morbid and depressed too, it's not gonna help you in any way.

Just stay focused on things that need to be done and be positive. For every bad thing that happens, something better is bound to occur to make up for it.

If you're really feeling depressed, having a positive outlook and being active isn't enough: you might need medication to correct an imbalance in your brain. If you're only worried about problems and stresses, but don't think you're clinically depressed, it can really help to talk to a therapist. They can teach you how to evaluate your own problems and stress (some problems when put in perspective aren't that bad), as well as how to handle them. And it's just really nice to have someone impartial to talk to who ISN'T a close friend or family member. If you can't go to a therapist, find someone to confide in who will give you fair advice about your problems. A lot of good advice was given about things to do to reduce stress. I recommend physical activity. A 30 minute walk, as simple as it sounds, when you're feeling down and worried can be great. There really is something to the idea that excercise releases endorphins!

The answer is not to avoid problems and stress, it's to learn how to deal with it.

Make a list of the things that really get you down and stressed. Then take a good hard look at the ones you can fix. Then number them, easiest to hardest to fix. Start #1 today.

Depression is such a state of mind that the cure lies with you only. Continued depression leads to serious medical problems.
The best prescribed cure, which really works, is Yoga. Simple Yoga postures, "Kriyas" can act wonderfully well. The 5 basic pranayam: "Omkar, Kapaal Bhati, Bhastrika, Lom Vilom, Brahmari, coupled with "shav Asan". Any Yoga Guru can teach you or view some Indian channel :Astha" wherein Yoga Guru :Swami Ramdev". You may also join his camp at Dehradoon/Haridwar in his Ashram.
You have to believe it will rid you of the depression.
Have light food, play some sports regularly and ensure sound sleep of 6 to 8 hours.

Gentleman, I have my personal experience, it will help you. Be natural what you are, what you have. Remember what can not be cured must be endured. Life is full of ups and downs, so you have to live for you and for your family. Watch comedy shows.

My best wishes are with you.

If you think your depression could be severe, go see a Dr. They will evaluate how bad it is and advise a way to treat it.

As far as avoiding problems and stresses go, it sounds like you need to develop ways to cope with the problems and stresses. There's no way to altogether avoid those issues, but you can definately gain the skills so they don't affect you in negative ways as much.

if you are depressed it 's because of some reason. If possible find out what that reason is.
If you know you are depressed you are in the right direction, it means you want out of this condition. I appreciate your effort to accept your conditon.
Now could you do the opposite of depression? Could you impress yourself with positivity. Before others could impress or make you feel good you need to impress youself, impress your mind and heart with positivity and optimism.
Every experience passes away perhaps the scars remain but are we going to be less whole because of those scars. Scars remind us of the hurts but more of the eneryg and power that we have to fight any challenge and obstacle in life.
You need to be happy for tomorrow may be your last day. Have a good day. You know what makes you happy. Don' t make others or things the source of your happiness for they might fail you but you know that you will never fail yourself. Would you?

Give a try. Impress yourself with what is best for you, but don't be dependent on others or other things. Everything is in a constant flux.

How you perceive people will influence how they perceive you. If you love people and
enjoy their company, that belief will impact your life tremendously. On the flip side, if
you dislike people and generally disdain their company, that belief will affect you a lot.
The better you can get along with people, the higher quality life you will lead.
Let’s discuss the concept of intention. Intention is the subtext of the interaction between
individuals. If you intend to connect with someone and project that intent by setting that
as a strong outcome before beginning to talk with them, they will unconsciously pick up
on this and respond to you more positively. People want acceptance and want to relax
and be themselves, free of any judgment. When you set that as one of your outcomes, to allow people to relax and be themselves, they will find themselves automatically more
comfortable in your presence. They may not know why yet they will feel it.One key to confident communication is having excellent vocal tonality. Vocal tonality is
the pitch at which you speak. If your voice is very nasal, it will be very irritating.
Irritating is certainly not good when you go to project a confident image and
communicate with people. You want tonality that resonates within a person and causes
them to feel good. It makes a big difference that most people aren’t aware of
consciously, but it has an effect on all people at the unconscious level.

Well you have to you face your problems, I think trying to hide away from them even causes more stress (well for me). I'd say therapy or a psychologist (this is absolutely normal, it doesn't mean you are crazy or anything). Drink tea and go to spas or get massages...I think it relaxes me. Take a shower with aroma therapy body wash, it helps. Go out and have fun with friends or family. Good luck!
