1950's television sitcoms! Think about it...no matter what the problems were, life was back to normal and "fair" in 30 minutes. Prior to the television, you picked up a newspaper and read about how life was genuine and unfair.

First i appreciate the question. Man today finds himself in predicaments. He has created a world which is full of tensions & conflicts. He finds himself almost at the mercy of his own impulsive tendencies of violence and aggression which may lead to a global disaster, total destruction of mankind and the earth. In to-days complex world, man is beset with problems of various kinds and he is involved in many different things at the same time effecting his own life, lives of others, inner peace and tranquility. Most advanced countries are seriously concerned about the future of man, about the nature of man and about the ways and means through which man can free himself from his involvement in the world around and search for the good life. Human life is divided between two worlds - the external and the spiritual and so is man's consciousness. One aspect of our consciousness tends outwards, another is inclined inwards. Direct knowledge of the self puts an end to all the problems, which the mind of man is facing throughout. Once mind get submerged into the soul, the problem ceases to exit and the real and lasting solution of the problems lie in a spiritual discipline of the entire self of man.

Life isn't fair. Much of it is random. You're driving down the street minding your own business and -- BAM -- a drunk driver runs a light and crashes into your car. Or you can't afford home insurance and -- WOOSH -- a flood washes away everything you own.

However, in our culture people expect that if they're fair to others, others will be fair to them. Sadly, that isn't always the case.

I have known for quite a long time that life isn't fair..you have to make the best of it and also never take anything for granted..once you do it seems whatever you are counting on will be gone...other than God or whatever Higher power you believe in.

Life is fair and just, but the people living it may not be fair and just.

No clue... my guess would be, it was drilled into our heads when we were little... that we have to be fair, and share, and be nice, and let others have turns...ect. that when we grow most people still think that... but that's just my guess. I know life isn't fair but, it should be.
