we just moved to this area & my b/f blew his back out yesterday at the gym & is in extreme pain he can barely stand straight he has to take a bus and walk to and from work and cant afford to not work and we dont have a car at the moment & dont know anyone here to give him a ride,i called him to see if he was almost how and he basically just screamed at me asking "WHAT THE F---- DO U WANT B----" i know its beacuse he's in pain because he did this yesterday when he came home.we've been together 5 years this is the worst ive ever seen him what can i do to help him?? & i've never ever seen him speak to me that way before how can i deal with it because it makes me wants to cry.What can i do to make him feel better heating pad? ibuprofen ? any help with lower back pain is needed ty

I sprained my ankle mildly a few years ago(but I never saw a doctor I was 9)and didn't really have any effects untill recently.My ankle always pops out when I run. and last night I stepped down the stairs and I had a really bad pain just under the toes in the right foot. Now my ankle isn't really swollen it's just a little rounder than the other one. whenever I keep it still it hurts alot to move it. I moved it today in a circle and it hurts so bad like a sprain. My ankle feels loose when you move it but stiff and painful at the same time. just sitting here I can feel pain near the top of my foot near my ankle. should I wrap it in an ace bandage. I can sort of run but it hurts and walking is a little painful I got up from my chair and practically fell as I walked to the next room because my ankle was so stiff/painful. should I wrap it in an ace bandage or what. what's wrong(do you think) I'm 14 years old.

Recently my Doctor has prescribed the Fentanyl Patch for me for chronic pain after having a Spinal Fusion surgery. This morphine patch is for mild to severe chronic pain and must be worn for 72 hours. Those of you out there that is familiar with this Duragesic Patch, how do you keep them on? Does anyone have any tips, advice or suggestions? I am currently going to a Pain Clinic about every three weeks and will be doing so for quite sometime. Fusion takes up to a year. But trying to keep this patch on is quite a struggle. As stated earlier, please, if anyone out there has ANY experience with these and how to keep them on your upper arms, please share your experience. Currently, I do use the 3M medical tape. IF I AM LUCKY, it will stay on the 72 hours and through my showers, but I never know what to expect from one patch to another. Thankyou in advance for any advice you may have!

palm size is 3.5 to 4.0 inches ,wrist size is a large ,would prefere thumb spicas but will do with out if need be ,could also have buckle and billet or velcro type closuers ,mostly for carpal tunnel syndrome ,also a solid plastic version would be acceptable

Im getting one tomorrow on my shoulder...are they just going to shoot me with dye and then a regular MRI or something else!?!?

I've had lots of MRI's i'm just not sure what the arthroscopy is...and how much pain i'm going to be in after if any?! thank you.

So the last couple of days I have been having problems with my back and it gets worse everyday. Today was the worst. I had to people crack it and all my ribs and my spine poped but it still is killing me..... its the right side upper and my ribs and my spine any ideas? could it be a slipped disc? ahh and whenever I move a certain why I have a really sharp pain in the spine.......I havent taken any advil or put a heat pad on yet but I will im just really curious to what it might be? Im a gymnist and a volleyball player and a basketball player and a golfer gosh that was a mouth full lol.
anyway my left wrist kills me all the time and when I rotate it and hold it you can feel something poping out of my wrist.
My wrist always has a sharp sharp pain in it. I wrapped it up for a week but the pain is back. why does it hurt so much
hardly anything hurts me Im a 4'11 girl who plays football with the 5'0-6'3 guys after lunch nothing hardly hurts me but this is torture.

Over the last few days - i have had my right arm go numb and tingly (which has now gone away) Also, R sided headaches for the past few days with a warm feeling in my head near my ear...also a slight ringing in it. Doesnt hurt though...any ideas....also a little burning on the right side of my chest - its not my heart - any clue?

hi all...i hurt my wrist about 3 weeks ago while skateboarding. I have a high pain tolerance, so I just let it go after wrapping it up for about a week. The pain went away but it started to hurt at random times...so I went an got an xray and they said that everything was fine by looking at it, but the doctor pinched my wrist at an angle and it made me wince...so he said i should go get an MRI. My dad is going to schedule an appointment for the MRI, and i hope nothing is wrong, but he said demobilizing it will heal it if it did crack, but if it's a low crack, only surgery will fix it....im devastated....i'm only 17, i dont need to deal with this crap. is this legit? any help?thanks

Okay Well Soon I Am Getting them taken out. and I'm going to be put to sleep and I'm worried about how I will act when I'm done. Its not the gas the IV and I just wan't to hear some stories of what other people have done after having this said IV. Please Tell How Pain Is On This Also. Loopyness? Any Yes No?

I know that might sound weird but usually when I hear a high pitched noise in my right ear my lower back on the right side hurts and I twitch... and i kinda get that feeling like someones watching me or something like where your back tingles(anyone ever get that feelin?) anyway it happened the first time like a while ago and my friend like... squeaked i guess. And i twitched and it hurt and wellll. i don't know i just wanna know if its serious or not, if you've even heard something like that, or how i can make it stop. but its really bothering me! thanks

I am 28 week prgnant and for the last couple of days I have been getting server pain in my lower abdomen. The pains became so intense the other night that I went to hospital to get checked out. They thought I might have a water infection but gave me no medication. This pain only really comes at night but effect my tummy goes into my hips and sometimes goes into my leg. Does anyone else have this? do you know if it could be the baby laying accross my muscles? Please help I am only 17 and it is a little frightening

My back has been hurting me on and off for a couple months, but lately it's mostly been on. It's a sharp pain in my upper right back, but near the spine. It hurts when I am trying to sleep and also when i sit up. I thought it was due to slouching so I have been trying to sit up straight but it hasn't made my back feel any better. Do you know what the problem might be?

they aren't very common. mabye once a day. the past 2 days. but when it happens they are sharp and heart. they are in the left part of my chest. my heart tends to be beating fast when it happens. im 18. no history of heart problems

After reading the insert the pharmacy gave me it says specifically NOT to mix the 2. I called the Pharmacy - who did not know I was taking Prozac because I get that at my Psychiatrist office and they said they werent sure but they do know it says not to mix the 2. I know I should be going by the Drug insert but my doctor said he wont write a script for Hydrocodone and I am in PAIN!!!!!!! Does anyone know why the 2 cannot be mixed?

I have pain in my right elbow only when I lean on it. I don't have any pain that goes down my forearm or wrist and I don't have any tingling or numbness in my hand. I also don't have any trouble lifting anything but when I lean on it whether it be a pillow or a hard service I get shooting pain that brings tears to my eyes. And today I even have some throbbing pain when I am not leaning on it but only in my elbow. Any suggestions as to what this might be? I thought it may be tennis elbow but every description of tennis elbow that I come across talks about pain going down the forearm that I don't have. Any suggestions will be helpful. :)

i fell and about a week later my legs started to have constant pain and by the end of the day they are swollen. i'm 53, menopausel . no meds i've taken have helped. it's painful to walk or stand and gets worse at night. any ideas?

I am 6 weeks pregnant. The other morning and I woke up and my left arm was hurting. I figured I had slept on it wrong. Last night the pain got worse and I had to take off my engagment ring because even my hand was swelling slightly. Could I have pulled a muscle in my sleep? What should I do about it? Tylenol barely eases the pain. Hot and cold compresses? Is there any other pain reliver that I can safely take while I'm pregnant that may help?

ok so my doc recommend me to take birth control pills for a problem that i have. however while i was reading the instructions...the label said if i have chest pains do not consume. I have chest pain but i dont know if i should disregard and just take them or call my doctor and and ask him.

ive been getting really dizzy and nauseas everyday for about 2 weeks.
here are some of my symptoms
~nausea
~headaches
~lightheadedness
~chest pain
~the feeling of vomitting [but not actually doing it]
~shaking
~blood sugar raising then dropping
~fainting

i'm 14 year old girl freshman in high school
whats wrong with me?
