First, Oxycodone is a pain killer which has a side effect of constipation. So, ask your doctor for Miralax or get the equivalent as an over the counter from your pharmacist. As to swelling, ice packs, not just ice will help. Do not let water get to the wound. Also, you may try a combination of 20 minutes of ice and 10 minutes of heat packs. The ice cools the area and moves the blood away from the site. The heat will bring back the blood and aide in the healing process. But please, no more than 20 minutes of ice at a time.

And yes, eat something when you take the Oxycodone. And the idea of putting milk and hot sauce on an open wound is ridiculous. I wonder if he meant to drink the ice milk hot sauce combination?

I hope this helps.

Ice packs. For the nausea make sure you eat a little something before taking the medication since it will upset some people.
Your doctor should address all of your concerns if you ask him.
Good luck

I never had nausea because of the drugs, so I'm not sure.

I know I've used Arnica Montana (pills I got from amazon.com) and it helped with my swelling and bruising.

Also I've heard drinking lemon tea will help as well.
