With very little walkingof standing my legs (fromt he calves down) start to ache badly. They also start to ache if I sit still for extended time. Further, they get cold easily and the only thing that will warm them up again (or relieve the aching) is soaking in hot water. I'm only 34 and slowly becoming crippled I think. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I’ve had trouble on and off for years with my legs hurting—at times it’s been so bad I’ve felt like crying. It seems I never know when it’s going to strike, but lately, it’s been happening more and more. I’m 33 years old, overweight but not huge. My grandmother had arthritis that started in her 70s, and she had really bad knees and leg and foot pain. I don’t think anything is swollen—just painful. Last night my legs hurt from the back of my thighs down to my feet. My feet were tingling also. But mostly my right leg, in the part below the knee, hurt SO bad I couldn’t stand it. I took aspirin, and it didn’t help, I put sore muscle/arthritis crème on it (Pain Buster), and neither made it feel any better. I was in agony. Today they’re still hurting some, esp. the right leg. Not as bad as last night, but still, it’s bothering me that they hurt all the time. I also get elbow pains and arm pain some, as I did last night also.

I did a bit more walking during the weekend, but it’s not like I’m normally inactive. I work at a desk, but I do get up and walk around the building several times a day, going up and down stairs also.

Has anyone had anything that sounds like what I have. Any ideas about what could be the cause or any suggestions as to anything to take, such as particular vitamins or anything to do to help? It would be greatly appreciated.

As a middle distance runner for the last 12 mnths, I have had increasing pain in my right illiac crest of my hip. I have been dilligent with stretching and monitoring distance and speed to ensure I don't overtrain. No expert to date has been able to relieve the pain. I know it is related to my illiotibial band of my leg, but even trying to strengthen my medial muscles has not helped. Any ideas on what is causing me so much grief and how I can relieve the pain so that I may keep up my running?

it isn't my spine or anything, my front left part of my neck, it hurts extreemly bad, and has for 5-6 days. i can cope with pain very well, i had MRSA, close to the avian flu, and i barely said a word about the pain, well anyways, so it hurts extreemly bad, especially when i swallow, i dont have a fever, im not sick, and the only thing that seems to work, and only for a few hours, is ibuprofen, but it still hurts a little when i take 400mg. it feels like someone cuts my neck all the way down when i swallow, but after, the pain goes away, almost. i dont know how it started, it just came out of the blue. the time that it hurts the most is in the morning, but it still hurts very bad at lunch time and at night. what should i do about this? please help, i cant stand it anymore.

I was rear-ended by a drunk driver in May 2005; he hit me, while I was stationary at a red light, going approximately 55-60 mph. Since then, my life has changed drastically.

After an MRI and a slew of other tests, it was shown that I have five herniated discs, one stacked on top of the other, in my lumbar region. The largest bulge was 9 mm into the spinal cord, whereas the other four were at 5 mm. Needless to say, the pain is intense on a 24 hour basis.

My question is this, to all those who have, or are currently suffering with chronic pain, are you tired of doctors treating you like drug addicts looking for your next fix? I know I am. :)

I believe she has pulled something in her shoulder blade area. I read the warnings/instructions on the tube and it says nothing about age. It does say not to use or contact a doctor before using on children with arthritis.

To start, I feel off a ladder, two steps, and hurt my foot - thought nothing of it, just thinking I sprained it. Until I was feeling and hearing popping noises and having pain. Went to the doc and found out that I broke a bone but it healed and I have bone fragments floating about. So I have had surgery on my foot to remove two pieces of bone back in September and all went well. But for two months now I have had mild to severe right leg thigh pain. I am a retail manager so I am on my feet constantly, but when I have a chance to rest it will hurt and sometimes it will hurt even if I am on it. It aches, burns and sometimes have stabbing pains along with a brief cold feeling. Those pains are off and on but what is constant more than anything is a dull ache and pain near the inner thigh near the knee. There is no skin discoloriation or swelling. And sometimes it hurts to walk. I have seen my podiatrist and he gave me a referal to see the Physical Therapist. The PT did two sessions with me on the pain in the thigh with light therapy and an electro one. By my third session she said do you feel any better and I said no. So she told me to go see the Orthopedic, so I did. The Ortho doc looked me over, moved my leg around and touch certain areas to trigger the pain. Unfornatly, I had a good day with no pain and nothing seem to set it off. So she had no idea - she gave me a question mark in my file. But when I left to go home I was feeling pain so I went back up to see her and she didn't even see me - the nurse offered me medicine. The day after my appointment I still had the pain and the next day after that I was in extreme pain to the point that I was about to cry. And now I am not that much in pain - finally subsided. But this pain is off and on so that is why the doc had no clue. - Where do I go to? I was wondering if this is another issue not related to the surgery or accident. Or it is arthritis and it hurts the foot as well as the leg. Please help.

I need help! About a couple of days ago my ear started to slighty. I thought it was just an earache but it did not go away! I told my mom about it and she told me to take some ear drops. I took them twice yesterday but then it hurt worse! So my mom gave me some pain relievers and it did not help at all! I could not lay on that side last night because it hurts when anything touches it (even on the outside). I finally went to sleep, but when I woke up this morning it still hurts! I can not hear out of that ear. I tried Q-tips to see if something was blocking it. Nothing was but it hurts so much!! Please....what do I do?

P.S. mom said the doctor would just give me more ear drops and they are not working for me.

I take it along with Tramadol, and Lortab 5/500. I feel awful. And am still VERY much in pain. I expect some pain, but this is too much. Does it take Lyrica a while? I have read everything about it but would love to hear your opinions.

I am a 38 year old white female. For more than a week I have had this headache. I go to sleep with it and I wake up with it. When I wake up its very mild but increases in pain rapidly. I am very tired no matter how much sleep I get. I wake up at night to use the bathroom. I drink a lot of water. I am living in a different country that doesnt speak my language so going to the doctor is difficult. I am a migrane sufferer but this is NOT a migrane. I need this to go away. I have many many things to do but I just dont feel up to it feeling like this.

I was shot in an attempted robbery while I was working, bullet went in m chest broke some ribs collapsed my lungs, and shattered and fragments went through my stomach and intestines majority or bullet that was left came out my back about an inch from my spineI also lost 3 1/2 pints of blood .I have permanent nerve damage and suffer from chronic pain sometimes can be very severe and keeps me from working. On occasion I get relief when a docotor wants to help with the pain but not real keen on this because I have been suffering for about 10 years now.over the last 6 months or longer is getting to where it is unbareable. I just want to know what other opions I have because being on pain medicine all the time is not an option because either one or two things occur getting addicted to them or they simply stop working for a person or have to change to different kind all the time.So what can I do,my Doctor recently just suggested more physical therapy which I have not had since this firstoccured
