I have been struggling with back pain for a long time, I've been reading up on ways to relieve it and I read somewhere that a cane might help. I don't care about how it would look but does anyone think it's possible that a cane might help? I thought canes were only for leg/foot injuries. I have this decorative cane that I've been walking with around the house and it does help a little, it kind releaves the stress on my back but I realize that if I do walk with a cane I need a proper one, I was just kind of test driving it lol. So does anyone think a cane for back pain might be beneficial?

I have taken a allergy pill and a 800mg Mortin. I want to stop my headache before it turns into a migraine. I can feel it coming on...any tips or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

even when I sit at my desk for long periods of time, i will stand up and start walking and my right foot feels like it is sprained, but when I walk on it more the pain subsides. What could it be?

I vomit.... my eyes swell shut at times... the light almost blinds me... and sound makes my head feel like it's exploding.... The only medicine I found that works is Excedrine Migraine, however I need to "overdose" a few times a day for them to work. I'm affraid I'm causing damage to myself and would like to find something that could help or even prevent migraines!

It hurts when I flex my wrist and also my thumb. Sometimes I can grasp things without pain but other times it is painful. It has been bothering me for some time now. Anyone had a similar experience? Does anyone know what it could be or what can help? I have been wearing a brace when I sleep.

My 58-year-old mother was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. She's having a very tough time and is just miserable. It particularly bad in the mornings (from what I've read, this is common). She often ends up crying from pain and frustration. It is leaving her crippled.

Her rheumatologist and doctors have prescribed a cocktail of medications, pain relievers, and steroids, but little seems to really help. I'm trying to persuade her to try acupuncture.

If anyone has any ideas, advice, personal experiences, or insight, it would be much appreciated.

I really like sleeping on my right side...its very comfortable to me, but my ear will really start to hurt and get sore so i have to turn over to my left. Its not an infection because its the skin outside. Basically the part of your ear all around the canal.

I mostly notice it when I wake up and pain starts to go away when I massage my ear.

Any clues?

had a motorcycle accident last April - fractured wrist/leg/etc....developed premature arthritis from muscle tissue healing around fractures from accident and impact to body - my body has been working overtime using other parts to compensate for disabled parts - diagnoised with 40% loss of function in hand/wrist, since then, pain has been unbearable at times. Working with docs on pain meds - now on Naproxen twice a day and Percocet twice a day - it's working, but personally i'm concerned because it's the only way to function - would this be considered an addiction???? or a lifelong pain management step in a better direction. Without any meds, I can't move, stiff, sore, cry in pain - I'm 38 yrs old, was extremely active before the accident, work full time, one daughter, one husband, 3 acres of land to care for - full time all around care giver. Any suggestions or alternatives? or stick to what works for now????

Fibromyalgia is an unknown muscle disorder. You feel like you have the flu all the time and your body muscles aches, in various places at different times. My legs always ache badly. Just wondering how other Fibro sufferers do to help relieve the pain? Thanks.
