Not arthritis, but you can damage the muscles and tendons around the joint if you crack them too hard. If it won't crack easily, leave it alone.

Cracking your joints works in breaking down the cushioning between joints. It's unneccesary to crack your fingers, etc. It's pointless joint stress.

no you can't but my knucles seemed to have gotten much bigger from all that cracking of my hands ....
