I think my headache is a combo of things but it is now in the back of my neck too. It started because of the change of weather, then a nasty strong perfume smell in the office...now it is all over. I just don't want it to turn into a migraine. Thanks for the answers...more advise? please keep it coming...

thanks!

Is it sinus or migraine?

Sinus, try going outside to breathe some fresh air. My office gets really stuffy.

Migraine, i feel your pain. I get them too. I have my own office though so i can close the blinds and turn the lights off. When i was out in the middle of the room, i would turn the brightness down on my computer monitor. My hold fast for a migraine until i can get home, is a caffeine and Excedrin. Nothing but Excedrin works for migraines, i have had them my whole life, and I take about 2000 mg.

A headache is caused by your capillaries contracting. Caffeine opens up your capillaries to help the blood flow. Excedrin also has caffeine in it and pain killers. That's what i do to get through my miserable day until i can go into a dark room.

Good luck

There is not much you can do if it is a migraine. You should see your doc about getting pain meds specifically designed for migraines. You can try drinking caffiene and also try holding some ice in your hands tightly or apply ice to your temples. Most likely though since it is a migraine there isn't much you can do. Tea tree oil to the temples can help too.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

try pinching the cartilidge in your nose just below where the bone turns into cartlidge.. it sounds silly, but it usually helps my headaches.. the disadvantage is that the headache comes back as soon as you take your hand away..

pinch your nose right at the top...between your eyes. Then, quickly & repeatedly tap on your head with your fingertips.

This has helped me ward off migraines. I hope it helps you!!!
