I have noticed a lot of doctors and nurses answer questions (esp in health) and identify themselves as a doctor or nurse. I too am a nurse but don't say that i am for fear of possible repercussions. What i mean is say someone asked what is good for period pain and u answered ibprofen. Then that person took it and was either alergic or had severe asthma (i have seen someone end up in PICU from taking ibprofen whilst also being a severe asthmatic). They could possibly sue you for that advice? i just want to know what is and isn't possible. I am always very careful with my answers but i would answer more if i didn't have this fear hanging over my head. Am i just parinoid?

As of now, I got almost no sleep last night due to studying. I have so much homework, and 3 major tests this week and staying up late is ineveitable. In an hour and a half, I get to go to lacrosse practice and run my butt off for 2 hours since the fields are wet.

I'm so tired, I fell asleep while eating. What can I do to get more energy? What do you do when you are exhausted?

And I would skip practice, but we have a tournament coming up.
Thankyou.

The first time I asked this it didn't work out so well. I thought I would rephrase and try again in hopes of maybe weeding out some of the amature Jeff Foxworthys out there.

I know that sounds dumb, but I've never actually had either. I have had a slight warm or acidic feeling in my lower esophogus since yesterday morning. I didn't eat anything abnormal, but I did have too much to eat the night before it came on. I had plenty of water and a cup of tea before bed. I felt thirsty but very full. When I woke up, instead of feeling better like I do on the occasions that his happens, I felt like I had to burp but couldn't, and when I lay down and/or roll over, I can usually feel the "heat" rolling with me. The burp feeling hasn't really gone away either. It's not constant, and the intensity varies.
I am 35 weeks pregnant, and I know heartburn is a common 3rd trimester symptom. I'm just wondering if this is it or something more like indigestion. I had some icecream last night and it helped a little. Milk with breakfast has minimal effect. I'm trying to stay upright, but when I feel things moving I might burp, more often than not nothing happens.

My husband has started snoring like a dinasour since the past few weeks. He refuses to see the doctor and the nasal strip does not help at all.
The snore is not from the nose but more from the throat thats the reason the nasal strip is of no use.
Hot steam also has not help at all.
Can anyone please suggest some remedy that would help as we are now forced to sleep in seperate bedrooms and I really feel terrible about it but at the same time I cannot take it anymore.
Can someone please help......!
Thanks.

Is it possible to have a coughing attack while in a deep sleep? I have a persistant cough (since 3 days ago) and it is keeping my roommate awake at nights, however, I am sleeping fine, and do not recollect these "coughing fits." Am I just sleeping through them? I tend to be a sound sleeper in general. She requests that I go sleep on the couch, as to not wake her. I think that this request is absurd. Help!?

I've been drinking a 375 ml bottle of vodka 5-6 times a week for the past 2 or 3 years. At times it's been getting to the point where I'm either hung over or I'm drunk. Recently I've been wanting to quit drinking, but I heard that it's dangerous or even fatal if I quit cold turkey because my body has been used to the presence of alcohol almost all the time. Would it be safer to drink less and only every other day to ween myself off of it? Anyone know any more info about this?

This is a serious question. I have noticed when I clean/remove makeup, an eyelash, etc. from my left eye, my fingertip will have a putrid odor on it. If I do the same on the right eye, no odor.
Can anyone explain this. It's making me paranoid that I smell!
Thank you for serious answers.
