This is a serious question. I have noticed when I clean/remove makeup, an eyelash, etc. from my left eye, my fingertip will have a putrid odor on it. If I do the same on the right eye, no odor.
Can anyone explain this. It's making me paranoid that I smell!

I've checked my nails - no problem.
I've used tissue & Q-tip swabs and they too have the odor after wiping the eye.

Eyes can sometimes get fungus in them called pink eye. but usually it affects both eyes at the same time.
If you are smelling strange odors on a regular basis see a doctor. It could also be that you have a fungus under your nail or on your hand. Or it could be a eye infection.
