Other - General Health Care - January 2007

My skin looks pasty and the dark circles under my eyes have increased. I just look dull.People have started saying I look tired.
I cleanse and mousturise twice a day and get 8 hours sleep a night.
I have a cold at the moment which is making it worse.
What can I do to improve my complexion, other than covering it up with makeup. I have a healthy diet but any specific foods/vitamins that could help? Beuaty products? Lifestyle changes?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I am a happily married mother of 2 and I work outside the home, but lately I find myself so tired. I cant keep my eyes open. I want to sleep all of the time. I am starting to really worry I have never been like this. I mean its come so far as when my husband comes home from work I feed the family and go right to bed, and it feels like I am never getting enough sleep. Does anyone have any serious suggestions on what this may be. Thanks in advance.

I am 28 and I have been smoking almost 10 years. I am trying to quit, but it is so hard. I tried using various stop smoking aids, gum, patches, lozenges, etc, but those make me sick. I find that I am eating myself out of house and home to make up for the cigarettes, but I can't keep doing that. What suggestions do you all have? Please serious answers only, I am really wanting to quit! Thanks So Much!

My 4 year old daughter has had asthma problems the last few days and a sinus infection. I took her to the doctor on Monday and he prescribed Zithromax, for the infection, and Prednisone for the Asthma, as well as instructed me to give her one treament a day of Pulmicort on her nebulizer.

I did this Monday evening and all was fine...except the crazyness from the prednisone..she was bouncing off the walls...I kind of expected that....To make a long story short, she wet the bed Monday night, wet her pants Tuesday at school, and then again last night while sleeping....Mind you, she hasnt wet herself in a year...and now that she is on all this medication she has done it 3 times in 2 days. Is this a normal side effect??? Should I ask the Dr. about this, or is it just coincidence or a phase?

I have looked of the side effects and found nothing of the sort...Is this normal?? She bounces off the walls with the prednisone, and wets herself at night????

A few times a month I will wake up in trembles, (shaking) and I am not scared out of my sleep nor was I having a nightmare, its just like its taking my muscles a few minutes to get in the hang of things or something, but its kind of freaky to wake up and be shaking all over, does anyone else do this or know what it is?

I have strep throat and the doc knew that I had a cough/mucus in in my throat and such. But he still just gave me the stuff to treat the strep, I'm guessing it's going to go away once the strep is gone? I find myself clearing my throat/blowing nose constantly. My parents gave me Dayquil, but it doesn't dry me up.

Any suggestions?

Im at work and had 8 hours of sleep last night and had 3 cup of coffee this morning but still my eyes keep closing. This is the 1st time happening to me Ive never felt like this before. Is there something wrong with me? Maybe Ive just got a disease/illness?

i'm going to India next week and i often have trouble with a build-up of wax in my ears. i'm worried about it being a problem when we get on the plane. I've tried Otex and Audiclean, also Olive Oil and cotton buds- nothing seems to have worked overly well. I've had my ears syringed by the nurse, and that worked... for three days. Please, someone help me.

My brother punched me unexpectedly really hard in the forehead just the other day, he takes karate and I'm a nerd. Just bareknuckle, but it left an extreme bruise. I bent way over backwards from it, to like 90 degrees. Could this have caused any kind of brain injury or damage? AKA should I torture him to death?

It started a couple months ago, just progressively got worse. I had to go to the hospital and have an epideral in my neck. I have 2 pinched nerves there, could this be causing this tinkeling I am having in my fingers and hands. It feels likes its asleep. Any input would help.. For the past two weeks, I have had what feels like a lump of sorts when I swallow. It comes and goes but is most prominent at night. It scares me a little that maybe my throat is closing up. But, since it comes and goes, I'm not sure what it could be or what to do about it.

The other day as I was pulling down my lower eyelid to put a contact in I noticed this little growth... its on the inside of my eyelid and sort of looks like a skin tag but it goes underneath my eyeball I believe because I cannot see where it starts. Anyone have any idea what it could be?
