Which is better using a Pediatrician or a Family Doctor? My wife seems to think that a Pediatrician is more specialized, so that would be better. I say a Family Doctor would be better because he sees and handles all types of patients. I just am not sure.

What is the maximum capacity of the average female bladder/
How much urine does it take for the average female to need to go the toilet?
When you feel pain in your bladder because you have held it in too long, how much urine is in the bladder?
Assuming you could withstand the pain and the pressure on your bladder, could the average female get close to holding the maximum amount of urine in the bladder?
At which point would involountary urinating be triggered by an outside influence? i.e. a running tap or the sound of water cascading.

Lately, I have noticed that when I wake up after a short sleep (ie. a nap or restless sleep at night) sometimes just my left eye feels really sore and I have a hungover feeling. I haven't drank anything at all, just have the cloudy headache. This can happen after just having a short nap too.

In full disclosure, I have had really bad sleep habits lately, not sure why. Just sometimes only sleep about 4 hours and I'm up. Are these things related?

Sometimes wehen I am asleep I Feel like I am not able to move or get up. Like my body is parealysed and my breathing will stop but is not blocked. I think it is from puting pressure on the temples of my head, by resting my head on my forearms. I can't find any names for this. If you know what this is I would be happy to learn what it is.

I have a friend who was on meth before I met her and I'm concerned that she may have started back up again, but I have no idea what to look for. Would she have any physical ailments or skin rashes that could be a direct result of the meth? Could her 2 year old suffer from the same kinds of things if she was around her mom after she smoked meth? Sorry, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to this kind of thing. Thanks.

My hands & pits get really nasty sweaty. It's so gross! My doctor gave me some medicine to put on my hands but it is not working..i am so embarrassed when my boyfriend held my hand for the first time night before last and it was soo hot, red, and wet. PLEASE help. Plus, i can't even wear button-up shirts b/c the sweat shows in big, wet spots on my underarms. I am SO embarrased to even be asking this. This has been going on my whole life..i just want it to stop! I have trouble playing the piano too--my fingers slip on the keys and i have a recital coming up. Any ideas welcome. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

i have been nursing in the nhs for 13 years and am very disheartened by the way things are going with lack of jobs and the way patients are conveyor belted through the system. i have thought about leaving nursing altogether as i do not want to work within the private sector as i want to help the average joe not only those who have a good bank balance. if things were different within the nhs i know that nursing is the perfect job for me but i can only see things getting worse. can anyone share their experiences of leaving nursing, what they did instead and whether it was the best or worse thing they ever did

On January 28, 2007, at approximately 12:40pm, my 17-year-old son experienced what seemed to be a petite mal seizure. He had cold clammy skin, dilated pupils that responded to light stimuli, he had trouble focusing on one object, and eyes seemed to roll. Facial coloring at the time of episode was extremely pale, his arms were cold and clammy. He had complaint of being cold yet he was sweating. He could respond slowly to questions posed after the seizure with slurred speech, also there was a noticeable weakening of motor function ex. could no hold onto objects, stumbling walk. He had dramatic reduction in hand and muscle strength. Pulse rate 2 mins. after episode began was approximately 45 bpm. 5 mins in to episode, he was given approximately 2 tablespoons of pure honey via mouth. BP at approx. 10 mins. into the episode was 122/84 P 65 bpm with a digital BP cuff.

I'm trying to change my sleep schedule. I always get into bed early, but last night for example it was two hours before I fell asleep. I read a lot about it today and most sources say to only get in bed when I feel tired.
How tired should I be feeling? Right now, I am always tired. If I got in bed now, however, I know I wouldn't be able to fall asleep. If I did another task, I could probably stay up all night without actually dosing off. Any help on the subject?

i have had ringing in my ears for a bout 3-4months now and the ringing is backed y a constant clicking sound coming from my ear. when i originally noticed the ringing i went into the doctors the next morning and found out that i had a serious cold that left me full of mucus. i was told that the ringing would stop sfter a few days. but after a week it was still going on when going to the doctoer again i was told that i had a build up of mucus around the eardrum causing the ringing, and also the crackling was due to air going through it. i was advised to do some things but due to college i had little time to do them so the ringing is still continuing. also a few days befor the ringing i was at a party and inhaled some nitrous oxide from a balloon, it was my first time and i know now that it can cause a ringing in the ears after excessive use (which i certainly didnt do) its also on both sides and changes pitch from time to time and gets louder if i push on my head behind my ears
