My nose does this think where if I'm hot or whatever, around a lot of warm air it flares and widens. When I'm cold it get all small and thin looking. Can someone please explain this to me??

It is a natural reaction in some ethnic groups, in that the nose flares and widens to allow more air to enter the lungs to refresh and cool off the person. Likewise, in tightening up in cold weather, the smaller openings would cause the restricted passage of air, allowing the air to warm slightly before entering the lungs.

Sounds like you just have a lot of blood vessels in your nose. When you're hot, they fill with more blood, when you're cold, blood circulates elsewhere to keep you warm.
