Ehm, interesting! Something else more valuable than iPod? Wow! What is that? I hope it is food because you are starving. I would certainly hope so. Something to keep you alive so that you can face another day.

Certainly sounds like you really like the stuffs by having to pawn things you obviously enjoyed and like when you purchased them in the 1st place. You have to think about this - is it really that important that you must have it? Can it wait till you have some extra money?

Bottom line - make sure your health (and sanity) is not compromised by having own the 'new stuff'.

Have a great day where wisdom rules; through a better understanding of the situation.

All I can think of is that old 1960s song by Loretta Lynn - Don't come home a-drinkin' with lovin' on your mind. BQ - I work with a man in his 50s who has become painfully addicted to Internet porn. He's in that phase where he hates what he does but that compulsion to act out is overpowering. He's married and has a sweet, respectable relationship with his wife....a very fine woman...but they've drifted apart. He feels like they're brother and sister instead of a husband and wife. The shame and confusion became too much for him until the fateful Saturday afternoon I took him fishing and he completely opened up. "How can I break a forty-five-years-old habit?" Addiction can quickly become a painfully lonely aspect in a person's life. The addiction makes them feel as if no one understands their struggle. It can even lead its victim to despair and pitch him over the edge.

Yes, you do have an addiction. By you pawning your once valuable possestions in order to obtain drugs tells me that these drugs have a hold over you - that is an addiction. Drugs are not a hobbie - don't try to fool yourself. Please go speak to someone and get help. By you asking this question, you already took the first step. Good Luck!

Without knowing more I'm hesitant to label you an addict. However, if you're pawning possession to support a drug habit...you can't be too far away from full blown addiction. Find a couselor or group who specializes in drug addiction, rehab.

If you are asking the question, you know the answer. Are you trying to find someone that will disagree? After you smoke the money up, you'll have nothing to show for it.

Yes, if you are desparate enough to sell valuable items in exchange for a temporary distraction that is physically and psychologially harmful to you then yes, I must agree that you are an addict. Please seek treatment.

stuff is just stuff, but your health is precious. Use the money to buy food, if you don't really care about the stuff.

Ignore him/her it is not their bussiness anyway, UNLESS your
