Yes, drinking water has proven to help some people relax more.

And the best way to relax is to do something your comforable with, that you feel is relaxing.

I tend to have a drink of water, lay down, and put some music on. It sooths my head, and i generally fall asleep, waking up feeling alot better.

Hope this helps =)

With the constant racket we are subjected to, I not surprised. I start with a warm bath, soaking in the tub with epson salts or a spa mineral. If you don't like to tub, take a luke-warm shower, don't scrub or soap up, just let the water run over you. Throw a quilt on the floor in an area big enough to stretch out on. Do this nude or with loose sweats or PJ's Lie on you back with a rolled up towel under your neck, arms relaxed at your side and breath slowly and deeply. If you have some really soft music without vocals that you like, put it on just loud enough to hear, but not listen to. Lighting should be low, maybe one lamp on in the next room or far cornor. Stretch each limbs one at a time, thinking about each part. Flex your toes, then feet, rotate ankle, stretch calf muscles, etc.
If you have trouble sleeping or staying asleep, do drink that glass of milk before bedtime and maybe take a magnesium tablet. Calcium and magnesium are both good for sound sleep.
Avoid alcohol, tobacco and spicy food just before bedtime. If you get hungry, eat a couple of old fashion soda crackers with your milk.

Drinking water regularly, not just in the morning or night, will help. It keeps you hydrated and flushes toxins from your system. You should be drinking eight 8-ounce glasses a day. Breathing exercises always work for me when I am stressed. In a quiet place, close your eyes and breathe deeply through your nose counting as you inhale. Exhale through your mouth, taking at least twice as long to exhale as you did to inhale. Do this several times. Stretching or a light workout can also help. Try some yoga exercise.

First shut off the tv. tv is loud and annoying most of the time.
Put on soft music. Inner Peace is a CD you should try to buy.
The music is very relaxing and is used in spas. Spray your
room or home with a lavender scent. Lavender is very relaxing.
Sleepy Time Tea (organic) is what we drink at night. Warm
milk is good if you can tolerate it. Stress is very bad for the
body and can cause illnesses if it's not kept in check. I have
a little sign on my fridge that says 'CHILL OUT'. I look at that
sign quite a bit. GL

warm milk, hot choc can help sleep. laying down and saying you are resting and make your mind not think. it can help you. but if you are worn out why? maybe a good checkup is in order.
