Injuries - December 2007

After three weeks, my finger is still bruised and too painful to bend. Is it possible that it is broken bad enough to require surgery or can they even correct it now that I waited so long? It is sort of deformed and it is swollen, but I have had it buddy taped for the whole three weeks.

my groin are hurts soooooo much. it has been soar for 2 days straight the pain hasn't evn went away. it is a soar keeling. like it feels that it is bruised, but its not. it hurts. lol and No the reason isn't tat i've been thristing in/out tooo hard. lol havent any sex for a while

When I cross my thumb of my right hand over my palm toward my little finger I have no strength, no pain, but no strength. zippers, buttons are noticably become a problem with me. I have a soft rubber ball that I can squeeze flat between my thumb and palm of my left hand. But I can barely squeeze it at all in my right palm. I have semi noticed this for about one and a half years but getting worse in the last six months.I am right handed, 52 yrs old and work out with weights and cardio.

Last night I was in my front yard with my dog, and the neighbor's cat came by, and she tried to chase after it, which means that she pulled me to the ground, and I landed on my right middle finger. I iced for a little while, but now it hurts really bad. I can bend it, but it hurts, and if I touch it, it hurts then too. It doesn't hurt at the tip so much, mostly at the bottom by my hand and in the middle. What can I do? I don't want to go to the hospital/doctor; is there anything I can do?

Has anyone experienced this, or has a friend or relative who has? She had a car accident, a few bruises and shaken up and seemed fine but immediately following started losing things, confused, trouble word finding, etc yet medical testing shows up with nothing injured in the brain...please comment if you have any experience and if so, what did your or your friend do in terms of treatment?

Not long ago i was whatching a steve wilkos show based on a confession of a pedaphile. As he was describing his actions i started getting this rage like i felt like beating him. I coundn't imagine what those girls had to go through, afterall they were only three. I have a little sister thats three and i can't imagine anyone going near her like that.

If you were confronting a pedaphil and he told you he got sexually aroased around a three year old how would that make you feel? How would you react?

I wish I could remember what I done. Since last Monday Dec. 3rd my foot has been hurting. It is at the base of my toes starting with the 1 beside my big toe on my right foot. the top of my foot is "puffy", hurts to put pressure on it when walking or standing. Very sore if I touch and put pressure on the top. It even feels hot to the touch. All I think I can remember is that possibly a box fell out of my cabinet and hit my foot possibly contact between corner on box and foot at the toe. I don't think it is broken or fractured especially since I really don't know what I done. Is it something I need to have checked out or just keep it propped up?

My little toe has swollen up for no apparant reason. I don't remember banging it or wearing too-tight shoes today, so why has it swollne up so bad? It's throbbing and red and bigger than the little toe on my other foot. I took some painkillers and put some ice on it, which has helped slightly, but i'm worried why on earth it has done this. ????

last week i fell heavily and smashed my elbow with such force i cannot even tell you.
since then my arm is really painful either side of my elbow and i have hardly any feeling from my fingers to my armpit
However, i can still use my arm and my hand although it it painfull.
Is it possible to break your arm, yet still be able to move it?
i hate to bother the doctor for something silly

My left knee is acting unsual, but the right knee acts fine. My left knee pops alot, more then the other one. And when i pull both knees up the left one like partially pops out of place and u can tell, but the other may just do a simple pop or nothing. I know that there is something wrong with it, i forgot what happened but about 2 months ago i didnt something to it, and i had a wrap around it and it helped, but after about 2 weeks later it messes up. Should i get checked out. Do you think its fractured or sprained, What do you think is wrong with it.

i can bend it but it kinda hurts. And it just hurts reguraly too, Whats wrong with it?

Unfortunately, it has come to the time where i have an injury that will possibly prevent me from doing my job, the thing is i may hate my job, but i love the people that work with me, I have been working their 6 months and really dont want to quit, but im 16 years old, and I have tendonitis and i have something wrong with one of the bones in my wrist, and they feel that cashiering might be the reason behind why its not getting better

I may have another job lined up... should i wait for to make sure that the job comes through?

Should I quit my job to begin with?

Both of my hands are all of the sudden locking up. I haven't done any strenuous activity other than walk around greeting people at my job tonight. What could this mean?

I was referred to a urologist by my doctor and eventually the urologist recomended circumcision. After telling me the risks, bleeding, swelling, 2 months to fully recover, we went ahead and scheduled the procedure.

He prescribes some pain medecine after surgery and i'm off. I go to fill my pain medecine, but he puts his name instead of mine under patient, and i go to three different pharmacies, and no one fill the prescription. (narcotic and they won't budge) I get a lesser pain medecine after arguing

follow-up visit was supposed to be 2 weeks after surgery, they scheduled me for a month after the procedure even though i insisted in 2 weeks. So he checks me in a month and said everything is looking fine, even though i tell him i have no sensation. 3months now and still swollen and no sensation, he tells me to wait it out another month, and if nothing, we'll talk about another procedure.

What should i do. I'm in pain, and have to still wait even though he said 2 months.

My right eye(broken eye socket) is still swollen shut, and i have been using ice constantly, any suggestions, any personal experience with this,my left eye is extremely swollen too, barely open and i want to prevent it from shutting. I cant go to school like this so i need help. thanx :)

i smashed my face against the wall and i got a small bruise and a bump on the bridge of my nose. i put ice on it. how long would it take for the swelling to go down? is there anything else i can do to make the swelling go down faster?

I ahd an accident two hours ago and have two short but deep cuts under my eyebrow. I probably need stiches. It is midnight here. Can I wait till morning to go to docotor, or do I need to get my stiches now?

Ok so i just fell down my stairs and im 100percent sure that its broken but i was wondering what i should do in the meantime before i go to the doc (im going monday) im talking about should i get crutches or what? I was playing soccer and i was hit really hard in the face with the ball, now both of my eyes are almost swollen closed. how can i get rid of the two big black eyes, and i heard that if someone has 2 black eyes that they might have a broken nose, do yo think this is possible? please answer, i am in alot of pain and can only see out of my left eye, i dont want it to get worse.

two days ago, i was at track practice. it was my second day of practice. when i got home, i had the BIGGEST headache. its been two days since then. ive taken tylenol PM at night, and ibuprofen during the day.... and its not gone.

the pounding is on the top of my head, and the edge of my forehead. also, one random spot in the back.

when i was in 7th grade, [im in 10th now]
they had me on some medicine, that i would take if
i got a headache at school. i know it worked, really well.
i just dont know what it was called. any ideas?

Was sparring in mma and took a knee to the nose...never had a nose bleed in my life or a nose injury...bu it did hurt however i carried on....after it felt a bit bruised for a few days and when looking closely i could see it was swollen and had a little bump..its been a few months now and the bump has never really gone although it has gone a bit smaller what do you think it is?

do you bleed blood when you get badly scalded (with boiling water)? i always thought it would just be like watery stuuff but my frind syas she thinks you bleed like this pinkish blood lol.
this convo came abut becasue a boy in a book im readin got scalded when he was young and we were talkin about it and neither of us is sure lol.
so do you bleed blood or just like water when you get scalded (with boliing water)?

I went to scratch a part of my back and I reached back and lifted my head a little and I had this sharp,stabbing pain above my shoulder blade. Then I got it again when I looked down and now it won't go away. Did I pinch a nerve or something?
