It's best if you go to a doctor now (e.g. an emergency room)
If you MUST wait till morning is it possible to apply some sort of dressing - at least a band-aid. If you can pull the edges together and then you see the doctor in the morning perhaps you might be lucky and your doctor doesn't need to do anything but give you a tetanus shot!

RE:
how long can stiches wait?
I ahd an accident two hours ago and have two short but deep cuts under my eyebrow. I probably need stiches. It is midnight here. Can I wait till morning to go to docotor, or do I need to get my stiches now?

Wow, Jeff. Unless you want surgery, I think you should wear shorts and sleep with no blankets or covers, would side up. It's just that: if you're busy and not careful while wearing shorts, you might bump off some of the scab. It sounds like the wound is infected. You might think about buying some antibiotics. If you don't want to go to a doctor, you can find antibiotics for sale in pet websites. Maybe look for dosage instructions on Web MD, or on the pet websites, convert milligrams per kilograms (your weight in metric). If infected, you should leave the part of the wound where the scab fell off open for a while, so it can drain. Treat very carefully with a soft heating pad or compress (on the part of wound that's open), two or three times a day. I highly suggest you take antibiotic pills. I think that will help the infection clear up. Take them for 7 to 10 days. If the infection clears up before that, make sure you keep taking the antibiotics for the full 7 to 10 days, otherwise the infection may come back. :) Love, Joyce

Most doctors don't like to stitch after 6hrs because of the risk of infection.
On your eyebrow, they may just use dermabond which is a sterile glue for the skin......depending on the wound, that is. OR they could use steri-strips, which are small pieces of a tape-like bandage, to hold the wound together. These last a few days before falling off.
The best is to have the wound looked at right away to prevent infection. Otherwise make sure to keep it clean until you see the doctor. If you are concerned about scarring, go see the doctor now. The sooner is it treated, the less of a scar you may have.

it will be ok to leave it till tomorrow as long as it isnt bleading,it wont have started healing over by then if you dont have it stiched it will heal with a wide scar, but if it is rearly bothering you go and have some in you can cut thin strips of plaster pull it together if you dont have any strips you will probably find they wont stitch it only use strips depending were the cut is i dont think they will use stitches under the eye they dont over here
all the best

The sooner the better, four hours is generally considered to be the longest time to go without stitches. The wound is much more apt to heal with little or no scarring the sooner it is cleaned and stitched.
Good luck and Merry Christmas.
