Last night I was in my front yard with my dog, and the neighbor's cat came by, and she tried to chase after it, which means that she pulled me to the ground, and I landed on my right middle finger. I iced for a little while, but now it hurts really bad. I can bend it, but it hurts, and if I touch it, it hurts then too. It doesn't hurt at the tip so much, mostly at the bottom by my hand and in the middle. What can I do? I don't want to go to the hospital/doctor; is there anything I can do?

you can tape it to the finger next to it to stabilize it. Keep applying ice for twenty minutes every hour that you can, keep it elevated above the level of your heart. Take tylenol for pain.

It's obviously not broken since you can bend it. Stabilize it by taping a piece of Popsicle stick or similar on it then take some Naproxen or Ibuprofen sold over the counter to bring down the swelling. It will take a couple of days to go away. Feel Better!

iam not too bright when it comes to medical stuff but if you can bend it then it is not broken so baiscly just make a splint out of any solid object you can find and tape it to your finger using anything ductape would do the trick and make sure you take alot of pain killers for your pain

The irony...The same thing happend to me three + weeks ago. I got my right index finer slammed into a car door...right at the joint part. It bled very little, and did not hurt tremendously until the next day. Mine swelled a lot too. Just wait it out....slowly exercise it daily....(finger push-ups). Put neosporin (spelling) and knuckle band aids on it everyday and wash it out wtih hydroperoxide (spelling again). Mine is almost completely healed now. Feels fine too. Its all good!

You can go to the doctor and pay a crap load of money to have them tell you it is broken, or you can go to Walmart and get some medical tape for $1.99 and tape it together yourself. You pick. I'd go with the buck 99.

get a splint thing that holds your finger in place, it might be broken.
