I have a friend that fractured one, he is not nor ever will be 100 percent again but it has gotten alot better and he can do what he wants. But he does have some pain when lifting or bending heavy objects, I'm sorry for the bad news but you are not alone. Good Luck and God Bless

anytime you hurt yourself like that, i doubt you'll ever be 100% unless you are like 10 yrs old but i doubt that. Your back will be to the point to where you can function normally, but I think you'll still experience a little pain at least. Especially during the winter, when the season starts getting cold, your back with start hurting (as with other bones that you break). It won't be that bad though.

Only your doctor can tell you that. I am assuming you are seeing an Orthopedic specialist?
