I hurt it a few years ago by hyper-extending it. I never thought much of it, just limped around for a few days and took it easy until it "healed".

It has since become a pretty big problem for me. I can't run long distances without it hurting and tightening up. When I run it is fine at first but starts to feel like it's not rotating correctly after a while, and then after a little bit longer it hurts a lot and it becomes impossible to run or even walk on it.

In daily life it feels ok, with a slight pain every now and then. It feels like its maybe something with my LCL or something around there. Sometimes when I stretch my leg is "clicks".

I want to get back into sports again. Using a brace doesn't really help.

What should I do? Will a doctor be able to help? I don't want to get surgery! My knee only causes major issues when I'm running or playing sports, not in my every day life. But I don't want to give up athletics.

The cabnet in our kitchen just collapsed as my gram was getting something. A large, glass, karosen lamp was on top of it, and cracked her on the top of her head.
Besides making sure she doesn't fall asleep, what should I be doing?

I did this 2 1/2 months ago, and did it again today, yes the same toe, I was seriously holding back the tears....jeez, talk about bad luck. It immediately got hot, inflamed/swollen, it's purple now and I have a job where I have to be on my feet ALL day...what can I do to comfort the injury. Do they make any split like bandages for toes? I know they have them for hands and fingers..... Last time I just took asprin and dealt with it, my calves got so sore just trying not to put pressure on my foot. What can I do???/

I sprained my ankle just over 1 month ago. I went to hospital and they done an x-ray and said nothing was broken and to keep weight off it for 24 hrs. Although the swelling has went down a lot, there is still a little swelling compared to my other foot that is not going away. Plus, when I am walking on it I tend to keep going over on it every so often and it hurts when this happens. Is this normal or should I maybe go and get it checked again? Thanks in advance.

In February I began to have pain in my calf muscle and I had just started taking birth control and I thought it was a blood clot - well I had an ultrasound done and that was not the case - it came back clear. I am off of the birth control - I was on it for less than 30 days. The pain has continued on and off - I wear heels at work and had to run up and down steps (14) at least ten times a day and then I would go to the gym and work my legs (definately overworked it). Since then have had three weeks of no running up and down the stairs and have stopped working out. I I went back to my doctor and he felt my leg announced there was no blood clot (since I needed reassurance) and had an MRI done about two weeks ago and there was no torn muscle, but he said I strained it.

It's almost been a year since the injury took place. I was playing basketball and came down a little wierd and ended up tearing the MCL and partially tearing/stretching the ACL. My doctor said that I should be ok to continue playing ball as long as I am continually doing physical therapy to rehab it. However, when I run it feels very unstable and I am afraid that it will get worse if anything were to go out again. So I'm wondering what are the chances of a successful ACL reconstruction, about how much the surgury will cost, recovery time, etc. Basically, any information abt. an ACL/MCL injury and surgury. Thanks.

So far I have failed all kinds of treatments including block injections and the Spinal Cord Stimulator. Dr. Tells me that my only option is to have the morphine pump. I do not want to have any kind of things implanted in my body especially the morphine pump. My body tends to reject evrything that is fornrer including the Spinal Cord. Does anyone else heard of any other options. I defenilty do not want to be on morphine.

I had a car accident on April 30, 2007 and the air bag fractured my sternum. The pain has lessened considerably, but it still hurts quite a bit. I am tired of the pain already and want to know how much longer I'll have to put up with it.
