I was at a concert about 5 months ago and someone stepped on my toe, the nail got a bit swollen and it's got a black spot ... i thought it was gna eventually go but its still there?? why hasent it healed yet ? what should i do about it ? any help is appreciated! thanks

The black spot is dried up blood and it will grow out as your nail grows its nothing to worry about ~~

My husben hit his thumb with a hammer, a week or so later the nail turned black.In time the nail fell off and a new nail was growing in it's place.That was it's way of healing.The old nail is protecing the new until it has a chance to grow out.It took about six weeks for it to grow out and heel, it takes time.
Leave it,it will heal.If for some reason it dose not after a few weeks then you may need a doctor.

ahh my friend squished my toe with a rocking chair. i had the same thing. the nail bed is dammaged and it has dry blood underneath...
your toenails eventually gonna fall off.
its gross but its what happened to me
