No. If you have ANY swelling above or below the cast, go to the emergency hospital. It is too tight and needs to be cut. The cast itself should not cause you pain.

The answer is NO! If the cast is too tight or painful you need to call your doctor immediately. The cast may need to be removed and another one put on.

If applied wrongly(too tight), it can cause circulation impairment. Go back to the doctor who applied your cast.
