I don't know what I did but last night after I went figure skating I was sitting down and all of a sudden I wanted to get up and my right leg had an intense pain goin through it. It felt like an electric shock. It is the next day and I can't lift it up without using my hands and it hurts alot to walk. What do you think I did to it and what should I do???

I sprained my ankle a little over a week ago. Doc said there's some torn ligaments, and I have to wear a brace. I have an extremely high pain tolerance so I am not in pain, just a little sore (mostly, my knee is sore from walking funny with the stupid brace!) I know I can do ball bridges and seated machines, as well as kneeling cable exercises for my butt, etc. Any other ideas? Also, I've been doing the stationary bike for cardio. Is this bad? How long until it's safe to move on to an elliptical machine, etc.? I have to wear the brace for a month.

After a night out on the booze last night,i needed the toilet, and of course being the worst for wear,as i was finishing, pulled my zip up only to find there was still abit of skin left out,as you can inmagine the pain was so great i nearly blacked-out,luckly there were two other gentelman using the toilet aswell(well using the same w.c cubical),who responded to my wails, and helping to extract the offending flesh from my zip,has anyone else had this.....as in will my member be scar`d or not,and is it worth getting a circumcision to stop this happening again(this was really tramatic for me)

I fell out of bed one morning trying to turn off my alarm. I stumbled and hit the table with my leg and then fell to the floor. Later in the day I felt a throbbing in my leg that I hit on the table. I had my roommate feel my leg and she said that it might be just tense. So I just tried to move it a little more. It been a week since it happen and it still hurts and its starting to get more tense. I don't want to go to the doctor unless its serious. I just to know if its still tense or if its a blood clot or something worse.

My husband received a work related injury to his knee, meniscus torn, went on L & I, had surgery last nov. he had his impairment rating and concurrence with his physician, rating as 10% whole body. 2 months ago he tore his other meniscus on his other knee (not at work, just walking) we believe it was from the stress put on his good knee compensating the bad knee. L & I found out he was going to have surgery and told him if he did not continue with vocational services he may not get anthing from them, he decided against the second surgery...so now, will he get a settlement for his first injury covered on L & I, and if so when? it has been since Aug. when he had the imparement rating, they changed claims managers and the new one is really mean and threatened he may get nothing because of the other knee, is this legal?

I just removed my cast after breaking my radius bone at the wrist (the one in line with the thumb) and now i can move my ulna bone (the one in line with the pinky finger) when i press down on it, there is also some pain there when i bend my wrist upwards or try to bounce a ball, is it normal that the bone suddenly becomes moveable ?

It started Friday morning. I was going to go to the ER for it but it kind of stopped huring for a little bit after a good nights sleep. I bought an eye patch for it, but even that didn't seem to help because seeing bright light with my right eye even seemed to hurt my left eye. I will be going to the optometrist on Monday to get it looked at. My question is... what is this? Also, my left eyes pupil is dialated while the right is normal.

I found a "house cat" living under my house. After a week I decided to go get him and found that he was pretty tame. I brought him into the house to put him in a cage until I could call the Cat Rescue on Monday morning. As I carried him to the cage I was going to hold him in, my cat saw him and began to hiss. The cat I had in my hands freaked out and one of his claws caught the knuckle on my left hand. The puncture wound wasn't that bad when it happened, but was a bit deep and I had cleaned the wound out right away. Ten hours later my pointer finger and middle finger are in horrible pain, especially when I try to bend them. Also, to the left of the puncture wound I have developed this red swollen area that wasn't there earlier in the day. Now I have been scratched by my cat several times and this has never happened. I am not sure if I should go to the ER or if this is normal...

My partner severed his left peroneal nerve in an accident in July 06. Consultant has suggested grafting. Can't find useful info on pros/cons/expected outcomes/procedures (or good general info) of this op/ops and so wondered if a medical person (or someone with experience) could help me please? The info I have found has suggested that grafting may not be particularly successful.

At the moment my partner has a dropped foot and is recovering from all knee ligaments being destroyed in the accident (now the LCL has been repaired, the ACL/PCL will be reconstructed after christmas). Many thanks.

Please state if you are a medical professional etc.
