Is it bad to play hockey with a torn miniscus and a miniscus cist?

Not a Doctor, yet, but working on it. However, it is bad to do anything with a meniscal tear or Meniscal Cysts; these often require surgery.
Preventing recurrences of tears is also a problem. Often after discovery of lesions, however, athletes are able to finish a season before undergoing surgery, because horizontal tears are not as mechanically symptomatic as other types of tears.
