You dont need a doctors note for the first week. Its the law.
Your Company should pay you if you have been with them for more than the statutory time (listed in your contract)
If not, you will get ssp for the days you are off.
Your doctor will give you a private certificate if you ask him which costs usually £5.

If you are unable to work the doctor has to give you a "note", but you won't be eligible for state benefits or workman's comp for a sprained ankle or foot unless you received it on the job. Those benefits cover recovery from an injury including hospital stay, meds, lost wages, etc. depending on your state laws. They don't usually pay out without a medical procedure. You'll just have a few days off, that's all.

Well first of all no doctor will give you a note if they have not seen you for the problem. So make an appointment with you doctor. When you see him or her tell them you have been out of work for a couple of days because of it and then just say that you need something for your work. Most times you don't even have to ask the doctor for it you can just ask the nurse. But you wont get it unless you ask.

Don't compound the situation by trying to get a note online or other fakery. But if you have a legitimate reason why didn't you use it? If you must get a note - try the doctor's office or ER like was suggested. But I think you are just digging in deeper. If they just want to fire you, you're better off to get a job where they want you.

If it hurts that much, it may be worth popping down your local A&E (take a taxi, you don't need an ambulance) just to get it x-rayed in case of a break. They will also be able to give you stronger painkillers.

If necessary, you can ask to get a doctor's not there so that you are signed off work. If it's going to affect you getting to work or doing your job effectively, then I'm sure you won't have any problems.

You will only need a sick note from the doctor after you have been off for 7 days or more.
Your work should give you a self certificate to till upon your return to work or they may send it out to you.

if you need to rest he will give you a sicknote for a week or two. You may not go onto benefit it depends on your employer, you will get either your wage or a stat sick pay which is a benefit but is paid by your employer as your wage would be.

If it's really bad, the doctor can't send you back to work. It's a judgment call for him. As long as you're not making it up, should be fine.

If it's legitimate there shouldn't be an issue. However, if the doctor disagrees with you he doesn't have to write a note.
